The opening is definitely smaller compared to a normal toilet seat, so keep that in mind if that’s an issue for you. Functionality Have used all features multiple times and core features work well - with primary focus being the backside wash (all wash modes), plus the dryer and cleaning feature. Cons 1. The Eco function doesn’t work — that’s for the seat heating — tried many times but knob never blinks/lights up in response. 2. Upon first sitting on the seat, the bidet prepares for use and water trickles (can hear it as well), but the slightly annoying part is some water splashes towards/near the back of the seat. Not a deal killer, but definitely something to be aware of. 3. The water doesn’t come out at the set temperature setting right away — takes a good 3-5 seconds. I would rather it wait then first stream at the set temperature. That’s pretty much the negatives so far — and not enough to return the product, in fact, the core functionality is pretty damn good — so aside from the issues mentioned above, really like this bidet. Plus it has a 3-yr warranty which is a significant plus after spending that much money. Read Less

We just installed this Alpha UX Pearl yesterday and so far I am pretty impressed. It is our first bidet/washlet and we put in a new Kohler chair height elongated seat toilet to go with it. Takes a bit of learning to navigate the buttons on the remote but the install was very straightforward. Excellent water temperature and pressure and the ability to direct flow/temp are very good. We just installed this Alpha UX Pearl yesterday and so far I am pretty impressed. It is our first bidet/washlet and we put in a new Kohler chair height elongated seat toilet to go with it. Takes a bit of learning to navigate the buttons on the remote but the install was very straightforward. Excellent water temperature and pressure and the ability to direct flow/temp are very good. Cleansing is 99% after a no. 2, which is impressive. The fan doesn't do much so we just use a couple squares of paper, no problems. Only 'complaint' I have is that I like to read on 'the throne' and while my body is in contact with the seat, the internal water heater stays on in anticipation that it may be called upon. I feel like I am wasting electricity just sitting there reading. I wish there was an "OFF' button I could push. I would most definitely recommend this product and the QR code printed on the inside lid of the box helps with installation as well as navigating the remote.  Read Less

This is my 4th bidet as I had a surgery that damaged one of my arms. We had a Bio Bidet that was great but it kept having issues and was no longer usable ( 3 repairs is not a good track record) So far we are happy with this new unit. It does take quite a bit of seat real estate and makes a elongated bowl into the size of a round bowl. It is super easy to install and takes no time at all. The heated seat is nice and in eco mode it isn’t heating up until you sit down so thats better for my electric bill too. Wish the remote was back lit but the side knob is also available so washing can be done even in the dark or low light. The water pressure isn’t as powerful as our last bidet but it still gets the job done. Overall we’re happy with our purchase.  Read Less

The remote has two user buttons, which is helpful if you want to save two sets of settings (for water Purdue and temperatures). The heated seat is awesome, but I set ours to Eco mode so it is slightly heated until you sit, it doesn't make sense to have the seat fully heated 24 hours/ day. We don't use the heated blow dryer, it takes to long, so we just pay dry when done. The blower does get hot though, if that is what you like. The bowl night light is especially cool looking. The bidet is quite expensive, but I wanted to do something especially nice for my wife and this did the trick, she loves it. *** 6.5 Month Update (September 2024)*** Well Alpha Bidet sent a label to return the unit to them. Then after over a month since I sent my unit in they sent an Open Box unit back. This replacement leaks at the point where the permanently connected water line connects to the bidet seat. So now we wait again. *** 5 Month Update (July 2024)*** Well with many of my reviews I do try to update periodically but for this review the update is not good news. Just over five months of use and this bidet seat has failed. It will still perform a front wash (which my wife reports she very rarely uses as it doesn't work well) but will not perform a rear wash either from the remote or the knob. All filters have been checked and cleaned (not that they were plugged at all. BTW there are 3 water filters despite the manual only documenting 2) with no change. I have contacted customer support and will update when/if they contact me with whatever resolution they have for me. I have reduced my rating from 4 stars to 1 star based on this failure to be able to perform the basic fuction of a bidet seat but will adjust if Alpha Bidet resolves my issue to my satisfaction. ***Original Review (February 2024)*** This is my first bidet seat and I am never going back to not having one! I do not really have any frame of reference as I had never previously used a bidet so this is the first for me. However I will try to be objective with my review Pros: The wash cycle does and excellent job on the "rear wash" but my wife reports that the front is a bit off target for her. The seat warmer has an "eco" setting that allows the seat to cool off between uses so it doesn't feel like you are sitting on the seat directly after someone else. The water can get nice and warm and does not run out. The seat warms up fairly quickly. The remote has customizable user setting for 2 people. You do not need the remote to use a basic wash function. Now for the cons: The water temp needs to be reset basically for each wash cycle or it will be cool (not cold just not warm). This is an easy single button press but annoying to need to re do it each time. The LED indicator on the side cannot be turned off and is fairly bright. I do not mean the led that illuminates inside the bowl but the exterior one on the control knob. This unit is in my main bath but the light is so bright it is annoying in the attached main bedroom! The dry cycle is nearly useless (though I understand this to be near universal). The dryer air can get way too hot as well. Finally, the opening into the toilet bowl is fairly small, even on an elongated toilet, and there is not enough room in front for me to avoid touching the front of the seat even while sitting all the way back. However, all together I really like this bidet seat and will not be going back to a regular seat. Read Less

Pros: The seat has fewer seams and a stainless steel sprayer so it seems to stay cleaner and be easier to clean. Also, I like that the closed seat lid will allow me to sit on it, which my last bidet seat did not (by both weight & design.) Pros: The seat has fewer seams and a stainless steel sprayer so it seems to stay cleaner and be easier to clean. Also, I like that the closed seat lid will allow me to sit on it, which my last bidet seat did not (by both weight & design.) Cons: Several features don't work as promised - like the sensor night light or the power saver mode. Seat makes loud start up noises the moment you sit down, even if bidet function is not used. Mechanics placement reduces bowl opening by several inches even with elongated seat. The heat and water pressure levels are hard to guage with just five LED lights (especially since lights don't work properly.) But, my only significant personal complaint is that compared to my last bidet seat the water pressure from this unit is very light even when set to max, compared to the "cyclone" spary from my last bidet seat. I could over look the other cons & non-funtioning features, but not sure this last con is offset by the pros. Surprised this was the highest rated bidet seat online. I'm giving it 3 stars, based on personal preference. If strong water pressure doesn't matter to you, that could bump it up to 4 stars.  Read Less
