I purchased this item because of the simple controls, metal water inlet and the feature of adding only 0.2" to the thickness. Unfortunately, unlike other similar units, it doesn't have a lower top over the nozzles so when it is installed the nozzle section doesn't allow the seat to rest on the toilet. I purchased this item because of the simple controls, metal water inlet and the feature of adding only 0.2" to the thickness. Unfortunately, unlike other similar units, it doesn't have a lower top over the nozzles so when it is installed the nozzle section doesn't allow the seat to rest on the toilet. They offer some additional bumpers that are about 3/4" thick which defeats the purpose of the thin design. I attempted first a 1/8" plastic washer under the lid bolts, which wasn't enough to allow the lid to rest on the toilet, so I tried a 1/4" washer on each. The lid would then close completely but it doesn't rest on the seat bumpers, rather on the very front edge of the seat. I found better options that have the feature that I want, including the relieved top on the nozzle part. I have read that there is a problem with the top of the nozzles in this design breaking off if the seat applies pressure on that area. That is not an acceptable design. Otherwise, the design of the controls are very sleek and easy to use and the look when installed is simple and professional. It is too bad that the one design flaw prevents proper installation.
