We had to replace our other one since we had elongated toilets installed. The shipping was quick and the installation was straight forward. You want to ensure you have the access to power and the correct version (round vs elongated). The remote was larger than our previous, its the size of a small tablet, it will be mounted either near the toilet paper mount or on the side of the sink cabinet. Lots of features: Convenient Wireless Remote Control Powerful Deodorizer with Carbon Filter Patented 1 Pocket 3 Nozzle System Auto Smart Power Saving Mode Heated Seat Warm Air Dry Built-in Filter Extra protections on electronic parts Hydraulic Seat and Cover Safety Sensor Wide Cleaning Dual Action Nozzle Gentle Aerated Water Stream Massage Cleaning We like the sensor as it wont turn on without skin contact. The warm seat and water are great to provide a comfortable clean and experience and the blower works well. The only thing this didn't have compared to our older one was a self clean option. But overall it fit the bill and we will use it until it has to be replaced.

Purchased because shoulder immobility made it difficult to, um, reach backwards. Only legitimate complaint is the remote; it took a while to figure out that it works only if held to either side of me, but not if held directly in front of me. I expect for those that can leave the remote in the wall mounted bracket have no problem. One illegitimate (i.e., I knew that before I bought it) complaint is that the lid (like many plastic toilet seats) isn't designed, nor sturdy enough, to be sat upon. Ha...

One illegitimate (i.e., I knew that before I bought it) complaint is that the lid (like many plastic toilet seats) isn't designed, nor sturdy enough, to be sat upon. Has the features I needed, warm water, remote operation, variable water pressure, and dryer. I will admit that I donl't have the patience to let the dryer do "all the work", but it is sufficient to require just a little toilet paper to complete drying. I don't use the heated seat feature and can not comment on that. The seat sensor requires almost no pressure at all to activate, so if close the lid if you don't want pets (or grandchildren) to inadvertantly activate the unit.

Very effective for cleaning

I bought this bidet to help me with my condition: colonic inertia (aka slow transit colon). I have been seeing a gastroenterologist about this condition for several years. It's a life long condition and it's quite different from regular constipation. Medicines and other therapies have not helped me, so I was hopeful this would. I am also missing my left leg above my knee. I wear my prosthetic every day from the time I get up until the time I go to bed. Unfortunately, the prosthetic leg does not...

I am also missing my left leg above my knee. I wear my prosthetic every day from the time I get up until the time I go to bed. Unfortunately, the prosthetic leg does not activate the sensor, so most of the time I'm not able to use the bidet. I have tried it several times without my leg on as a cleanser and it's very effective. I'm certain that all of its functions are of great use for those with two legs and only your garden variety constipation.

excellent product and reliable brand

I had the older model of biobidet for more than 10 years service. It has been very reliable. Unfortunately, it broke eventually. So I bought this new model BB-1000. The water pressure is very good unlike some other brand of product. And I like the seat sensor feature a lot too. A real five star.

Very nice product and live to its name

I bought it based on its great review. Installed it, but the remote didn't work well. Called customer center, they were really friendly and professional. The rep told me that it must be the sensor issue. She sent me the replacement part and the instruction. I put it on, and now it works perfectly. Great product and great customer service.

BioBidet 1000

This bidet is a luxury item! We had to install a ground fault receptacle close to the toilet to run it, but other than that it was easy to install! It is worth it just to have a heated toilet seat! The rest of the gadgets are a bonus! It has a variety of options in positions and strength of flow and water temp. This has helped my husband so much with taking care of business! It can even assist with the ‘action’ with the vortex setting! Sounds gross to be discussing this, but, hey, we all do it!...

The remote fits on its holder nearby, so you don’t have to touch the toilet seat, except when your behind sits on the sensor so it knows you are there! The little fan ventilator confused our cats at first, but it does the trick! All quiet and comfy! The dry blower finishes up with a warm tush, just right! Thanks BioBidet! And we saved a lot of toilet paper!

Does everything it's supposed to.

Worth the price: An improvement over what I had. Have just been using a month and am pleased. If you are looking for a basic bidet that looks nice and has all basic functions and gets the job done you will be satisfied. However don't expect any high tech gadgets, sensors, or whatnot. Basically you get what you pay for and this is all I wanted.

Great product

I bought this bidet seat primarily because I have "colonic inertia." I have been seeing my gastrointerologist regularly for 3 years. We discussed this product before I bought it. He suggested I give it a try....because nothing else has worked. Unfortunately I am an above knee amputee (left leg), and the sensor does not register when I have my prosthesis on -- which is all of my waking hours except when I first get up and just before going to bed. It seems like an excellent product and would probably be very effective for those with occasional constipation and two legs

one of the best investments I have made

I have decided to write a review on it now because I know there are people like me out there who are on the fence about it but actually really need something like this to be a part of their lives. I have decided to write a review on it now because I know there are people like me out there who are on the fence about it but actually really need something like this to be a part of their lives. I purchased this online a few months back. Like many others wrote reviews, I was also skeptical because this is a generally unheard of product where I live and I had very little information. The information that I found online gave me a basic understanding of what to expect: water spray and heated seat. At the time, I needed a bidet on short notice so I chose the BB-1000 based on the many reviews I read about it on various sites. Even after I received it, I still held some reservations against the product. I paid $500 and still raised an eyebrow at the thought of it. The installation I did myself since it was very straightforward and easy. The water is tapped straight from the wall valve and does not draw water from the toilet tank while the built in bidet tank heats the water. The heated water can be adjusted to three levels (low, medium, high) and the highest is very warm yet not painfully hot (aka perfect). The warm water lasts for 30 to 40 seconds and when I inquired about this I was informed that any longer than that would not be beneficial since it would weaken my tissue. This makes sense to me. I had compared and read about some bidets with in-line heaters and although that seems like a great feature and might entice some people, it makes sense that endless warm water can do more harm than good. My main concern was with where the water would come from or if it would affect my toilet’s flushing capabilities. Since the water used in the bidet comes straight from the water line, it doesn’t affect my toilet at all. Like the warm water, the heated seat can also be adjusted to three levels. With the recent chilly weather, I’ve kept it on the highest and it is so nice. Although one drawback is that it has become a bad habit to doze off on that seat in the mornings and makes waking up a little more difficult than usual. The deodorizer is unscented and eliminates some odors in the bathroom. It does start running once the seat is occupied and continues to run for a few seconds after the seat becomes unoccupied. This can be manually turned off if the slight humming noise bothers you. The cartridge contains active carbon, I read. The lid and seat are both soft closing. It is always better to shut the lid before you flush to prevent germs and bacteria from splashing out and the soft closing lid is nice since it won’t slam shut and startle you. The seat will not work unless it detects someone sitting on it. This is a great safety feature especially for those who have kids like I do who are prone to being curious and button mashing. And with the remote being so attractive and easily accessible to my kids, I have found that remote in my living room a few times so I’m glad that the bidet will not respond when they try to use the remote like a TV remote. This bidet has a 3-in-1 nozzle that is exclusive to this brand – one of the reasons I chose this model over others. The one nozzle contains the posterior wash, feminine wash, and vortex enema wash and is powered by a motor that regulates movement and flow. All three of these washes can be manipulated to move back and forth or pulsate. The pressure can also be changed according to my preference. The water stream on this bidet is mixed with air bubbles to create an aerated effect which causes the water to be more powerful yet gentler than conventional water streams. The posterior wash is your basic family wash. It will clean the rear with oscillating, pulsating, or stationary. The feminine wash also does the same but it reaches further up anatomically. The enema wash is a concentrated stream of water. This seems to be unique to this bidet and although I have no need for an enema yet at my stage in life, I can imagine this becoming a great tool in the future. The warm air dryer is just a pleasant flow of warm air that is a nice topper. This nozzle will “self-clean” in between each function. This means that water will be drained over the nozzle before and after each use so I do not have to worry about cleaning it myself. For a product that was bought on a whim, it has proven to be one of the best investments I have made.

Tried many bidets before but this was the best!

"I have had the opportunity to test several bidet seats due to my family owning a few brands in their respective homes. "I have had the opportunity to test several bidet seats due to my family owning a few brands in their respective homes. I cannot go into detail about the others that I have tested since I have only used them a handful of times while visiting however I will say that the BB-1000, which I ultimately purchased for myself, has an extremely effective water spray. Cleansing aside, I was looking for something that would do more than be a hygienic plus. With a product as compact as this that draws a maximum of 600 watts, I can say that the water pressure that the motors supply is very impressive. On one of the `test' models, the water seemed to dip like the water stream from a drinking fountain. When turned on, it would spray water at an upwards angle but the pressure was not strong enough to keep that angle steady so by the time it reaches a human body, the water merely skims it and flows back down into the toilet bowl. As you can imagine, this was very frustrating and inconvenient since I had to position myself constantly in order to get this dipping water to touch my butt. On another `test' model, the water pressure was too uninhibited. There was nothing regulating the amount of water or the pressure of which it came thus making it uncomfortable in a painful way. No, it was not on any enema wash it was just a standard posterior wash at low to medium settings. I felt like if I had kept the spray on one spot for two minutes straight, that spot would become bruised. One bidet, no matter where I positioned my body or the nozzle, it would spray my back. Needless to say, although I liked the concept of these things, I was never impressed. Nonetheless, I wanted one in my home but I decided to go another route than my parents and brothers. I did my homework and narrowed it down to two seats that I had a good feeling about. I ultimately went with the BB-1000 because of the unique 3-in-1 nozzle and the enema/turbo wash. I am very pleased with the water spray on this product. Upon installation, I placed my hand on the seat to activate the safety sensor and covered the opening where the water would spray with my hand. I tested it on all three washes this way so that I could observe the water and found each one to be satisfactory. The water shoots at one steady angle and comes at a rather thick volume of water. The difference with this one is that it uses `bubbly' water so the stream isn't painful while it is still powerful. All bidets can clean a person (more or less) but I wanted a bidet that performed up to my standards. If I wanted to settle with a simple squirt of water, I would have. From a technical point of view, regardless of the silly extra features that I don't need (i.e auto open and closing lid, auto flushing, etc), this might be one of the best bidets I would have been able to find. Do you buy a bidet so it will flush the toilet for you or do you buy one to get a satisfactory water stream to clean you off? I am part of the latter and I would recommend this to anyone else who thinks the way I do."
