Made of good quality materials - solid feel; robust build. Lots of options, but simple. So it's very straightforward. I like the oscillating feature of the spray. I like the lighted basin (for nighttime use). The remote is straightforward and I like the easy magnetic mount. We put it on the wall near the toilet paper holder. Some reviews and comparison articles note that this bidet has a lower water pressure than some others. Personally, I nearly always use the lowest pressure setting. The highest pressure is all I can ever conceive of needing. I can't imagine the 'firehose' of some of those other bidets.  Read Less

My wife and I recently remodeled our bathroom. I knew I wanted a bidet. Toilet paper just doesn't do the job and is wasteful as all get out. I had previously tried a bidet when travelling abroad and knew one day I'd put one in my own restroom. Well I put this unit on top of a brand new American Standard Champion 4 (awesome toilet too). The installation was super simple, took about 10 minutes after the toilet was installed. Instructions were great. One the first use I will admit its different, something you need to get used to, but after having it for about 3 days, I can safely say I have no buyers remorse and I'm never going back. I can only imagine how much this will also help our septic given a much much lower use of toilet paper. The pressure on the nozzles is good and the heated seat and heated water are very nice. The look of the seat does take a little getting used to, but I think it matches nicely with the toilet. So in summary, I would definitely buy this product again and if you're on the fence. Can anyone explain to me why we Americans have not hopped on board the bidet train? They've been using bidets in Europe for decades...almost every bathroom I've ever visited during my many trips to Europe has had a bidet. Even the cheapest hotel room in a low-rent district, or the humblest little water closet in the back corner of an unassuming trattoria, has a bidet. Most of the private homes we've been in had them in every WC. And yet we never find them in the US, unless you are staying at the Ritz or some chi-chi hotel populated by wealthy international clientele. We just bought this. Now this might seem like an extravagance, but we did so because we have learned that the plumbing system in our 50-year-old house is rather fragile, and we were searching for ways to reduce the strain on it, thereby ultimately saving money in future plumbing repairs. Without being indelicate, let me just explain that using one of these can mean far less usage of TP. Which is not only good for our ancient pipes, but also for saving trees. We got it today, and it's AWESOME! Easy installation. Heated seat (awfully welcome during these coldest days of the year), gentle stream of warm water, adjustable nozzle position for either...as they say euphemistically in the manual..."back" or "front" washing. And some other interesting features too, which I haven't yet explored, and might not. Here's the thing: Americans tend to be far more fastidious than other parts of the world, in terms of bathing frequency, general hygiene, germaphobia, etc. And yet we walk around with dirty bums, while our less-frequently-bathed European brethren walk around with nice clean ones! We couldn't be happier so far with this purchase! Starting with the heated seat, to the easy and very functional remote, front and back sprayers, and warm blow dryer, one will find themselves in the lap of luxury in their own bathroom. Only once have I had this same feeling when the original iPhone came out and I experieced what it could do and that all the functionality was exactly where it should be in one place. That's what I'm talking about!! The Swash 1400 does it all and more importantly it does it well! What sold me was an article describing the bidet. Would you wash your hands with a paper towel or would you wash you hands? In this case, why use you hands??!! Thank You for the excellent product and we look forward to the water filters that we ordered to arrive soon.
