The instructions are quite clear and easy to follow; anyone can install this seat. Operation couldn't be simpler: a small knob on your right starts and directs water flow where you want it, backside or front, by rotating to the back, or to the front. And it self-cleans after each cycle. No remote, no batteries to change, no electricity. Some will claim the tapwater temperature is too cold for their liking; we enjoy the bracing, refreshing effect—and our toilet paper use has been cut ten-fold. If you're questioning getting a bidet, then this is the best starter for you. Brondell was easy to install and the dual option of cold & warm water allows warmer access to clean your private parts. There is no need for an electrical outlet which was great as this was installed in our 2-piece guest bathroom. We did have to go and get additional pieces for the hot water supply. If your looking for other features such as heating, and remote control access, then take a look at a different model but if you are new to the bidet world and want a fresh start, then this bidet is perfect!
