The instructions are quite clear and easy to follow; anyone can install this seat. Operation couldn't be simpler: a small knob on your right starts and directs water flow where you want it, backside or front, by rotating to the back, or to the front. And it self-cleans after each cycle. No remote, no batteries to change, no electricity. Some will claim the tapwater temperature is too cold for their liking; we enjoy the bracing, refreshing effect—and our toilet paper use has been cut ten-fold. If you're questioning getting a bidet, then this is the best starter for you. Brondell was easy to install and the dual option of cold & warm water allows warmer access to clean your private parts. There is no need for an electrical outlet which was great as this was installed in our 2-piece guest bathroom. We did have to go and get additional pieces for the hot water supply.
