When it was time to replace our model 1000, we ordered TWO 1400s to give our guests some pampering too. We like these (and I get a kick out of Dan's videos) - BUT! We don't need to be seated with a musical fanfare. There is no added value - especially in the middle of the night. If it turns out all the noises CAN be turned off, I'll gladly up this to five stars.

Our favorite bidet
one startwo starsthree starsfour starsfive stars
We tried a couple bidets and the Swash 1400 is our favorite. First, for quiet operation because it does not run water unless you sit on it. The other one noisily sprayed water at intervals day and night as well as while you sat on it. Next, we like the separate deodorize function with refills. We like the pressure sensor so the Swash 1400 only sprays the bowl when you sit on it. The other one sprayed the bowl anytime anything moved within three feet of the distance sensor.

Great bidet

Installing the Brondell Swash 1400 was a breeze and it has been performing well ever since! I especially like the water hose that came with the Brondell - much less obtrusive than my old one! I also like the safety feature that makes sure someone is seated before the washing starts.

There is a second of cold water probably left in the line before the warm water comes out, and even with the fan you still need some TP to finish drying. Granddaughter has difficulty sitting in the right place for it to do its job and even recognize she is there at all. Wife needs it all the way forward. Overall it meets expectation and is quite nice to have.

I’m loving the Swash 1400 bidet toilet seat! I thought I would not use the deodorizer because I dislike artificial, perfumey smells. I was thrilled to learn that the technology in the deodorizer takes care of some smells without adding others. I love the sterilizer and use it a lot. It was easy to install. The most fun part is warning guests about the “hello” they will hear from the weird looking toilet seat as soon as skin makes contact with it. If you have a large bathroom, I would recommend getting an elongated toilet and an elongated bidet seat. Our bathroom is tiny and we are small people so the round version works for us, but I can see where it might be a challenge for some people. Five stars from me!

Easy to install, easy to use.

The Brondell Swash 1400 is well worth the investment. Since it's winter time, the heated seat is the best part - 2 a,m. in the morning, warm seat, soft light glow. Was very easy to install. We did have to have an outlet installed but now I have an extra outlet in the bathroom. We installed the seat ourselves in about 10 minutes. I do recommend using plumber's tape on the connections to prevent any leaks. We didn't use it at first; there were no leaks within 5-10 minutes but a couple hours later...

We did have to have an outlet installed but now I have an extra outlet in the bathroom. We installed the seat ourselves in about 10 minutes. I do recommend using plumber's tape on the connections to prevent any leaks. We didn't use it at first; there were no leaks within 5-10 minutes but a couple hours later we found water in the floor. The connections to the tank had a leak. Didn't even need to remove seat, just redid the connections with the plumber's tape, no leak since. I will have to agree with others that the front nozzle doesn't reach very far but sitting to the back of the seat seems to work. My only difficulty is getting the User 1 and User 2 settings right. I need to read the instructions again. And, thank you, for an actual instruction book! Not many items come with the actual book. My only complaint is the remote is not lit - can't see the buttons at night.
If you read the manual, you will note that as someone sits on the seat there is a short time of water running into the toilet. Doesn't touch anything else. Can be disconcerting if you didn't read the book. Another good thing - someone must be sitting on the seat (bare skin) for it to work. That means won't accidently spray the room.
Would I buy this seat again? Definitely!

Good Product but not perfect

This is our first Bidet so I am no expert and have only used a few of these things when traveling over seas. In all the installation was easy and well documented. The product comes with most everything you need, but everyone's setup is different so you may have to go to the hardware store and get different fittings and hoses. Overall, the construction seems sturdy and the unit does as advertised. I have had no major complaints or issues with the unit in the first few months of use. I didn't thin...

I didn't think the remote was necessary when I made the purchase, but it is awesome and I'm glad we got it.
Now for the not great part:
Water temp is not even close to consistent. It hasn't frozen or scalded us, yet, but you never know what it will be when it hits you. Sometimes is starts off hot and then gets cool, or vise versa. Always a surprise.
There is a long delay when you push the button to clean yourself. It goes through a third cleaning process (it cleans after you are done, it cleans when you sit down, and then again when you press the button), and is supposed to drain the water in the line so you get warm consistent temps. The delay when you press the button to clean and when you get cleaned is never the same so it is always a surprise when it finally hits. I guess this is great if you like surprises. They should add a tone or something to warn you when the action is about to happen.
The light never turns off. I think it's a great feature for middle of the night visits but during the day or when the lights are on it is unnecessary. Looks like they would add a light sensor, like most appliances have, to turn it off if there is another light source.
Like other's have said the fan is about useless unless you have a lot of time to wait.
Don't buy into the 30 day satisfaction guarantee either. The documentation clearly states that you can only return the item new and unused with a restocking fee. Basically a buyers remorse clause. You can't install it, try it, and then return it, unless I miss read something.
Overall, I would purchase again, but the varying temperature and surprise spray really needs to be addressed.

My 4th BioBidet

I like the new underlaid color and seat ergonomics. However, I don’t understand why it dumps a lot of water into the bowl when I sit down and the water pressure is lackluster. Had to turn it up full just to get any to reach posterior and my wife says even at full pressure only a few drops reach her. Might I have a faulty unit? Why the water dump as soon as you sit down?
Had to replace couple year old Swash1000 seat purch for $650? due to faulty seat sensor, could get no help to learn if returning seat to factory for repair would result in $10 part repair or $$$ replace whole seat repair...
