I wrote a longer diatribe in another product review about me becoming a "born again believer" in bidets when I had the thought to reduce toilet paper use due to COVID-19 shortages. The short version is that I'm big on good hygiene in general, and I am fiercely passionate about rear-end hygiene, and I LOVE bidet's as a result. What's great about this product is that it fits beautifully on my existing toilets. Installation was SUPER easy and was accomplished literally in 10 minutes flat. It took only a pair of angled pliers and a Phillips screwdriver to install. The fact that this unit has dual nozzles is brilliant. It has one for the rear and one for the front (for women). Now, depending on how your body is shaped, you may find that the nozzle intended for the "front" provides you the best cleansing for your rear. No issue. Either way, between the 2 nozzles, you'll get a good strong cleansing stream to hit pretty much wherever you need it. The control knob that selects between the nozzles is very easy to reach and simple to operate. The whole package looks very attractive and very naturally integrates into any standard 2 piece toilet. The fact that the nozzles automatically retract when the stream shuts off is great. Totally terrific mechanism. Another thing that is worth mentioning is that because this product is so thin, the slight elevation of the rear of the toilet set is totally unnoticeable to me. I absolutely LOVE this product and am now a "bidet for life" person, even after the toilet paper shortages are resolved. The ONLY thing that keeps this product from being a "100%" for me is that I wish the streams were just a tad bit stronger. They are quite robust as is; however, if my ideal stream strength and volume is a "10," I would characterize these streams as a very solid 8. I have seen other bidet attachments for a lower price but what I did not like about them was that they had 2 buttons in order to use: 1 was to select the area to be cleansed (front or rear) and 1 button was to select pressure. I have seen other bidet attachments for a lower price but what I did not like about them was that they had 2 buttons in order to use: 1 was to select the area to be cleansed (front or rear) and 1 button was to select pressure. I really did not want to spend/waste time working around with 2 buttons when I want to speedily be in-and-out of the bathroom. The GenieBidet is the only one out there that I found which has one single button which by a single turn (left or right) designates *both* the area to be cleaned as well as the water pressure. Absolutely INGENIOUS!!! Installation took 15-20 minutes and the hardest part of the process was shutting off the valve for the water supply to the toilet as the knob required a lot of strength to turn. I could not turn off the water supply completely, so I just put a bucket underneath the pipe and valve to catch all the trickling water and did my best to work in a speedy fashion to install the bidet. Therefore, the hard part was not even with the installation of the bidet itself, but simply due to something already existing in my home which was difficult to use. Installing all the parts of the bidet per the video instruction on Amazon.ca as well as YouTube was an ABSOLUTE breeze and it provided a *wonderful* sense of accomplishment once I finished all by myself. I chose the attachment rather than the bidet seat because I measured my round toilet from the tank to the front of the bowl and it was about 17" (which would not have allowed the lid to stay open) as the recommended minimum for the seat is 19"-20.5". The angle of the jets is absolutely perfect especially for the rear, for the feminine front it helps to adjust posture/sit up straight in order to reach the area needed. Takes a little bit of practice, but I'm on my 2nd day using this and I've already gotten much better at using it! Happiness all around, cleanliness all around, AMAZING PRODUCT and RECOMMEND 100%!!!! The seat was incredibly easy to install, I replaced the old one in about 30 minutes. All of the required hardware is included, all you need is a screwdriver and (maybe) an adjustable wrench (don’t overtighten). It is important to note that you do need to have an electrical outlet nearby. I installed a new one a few weeks ago knowing that I was getting this. The seat itself is comfortable, but you do lose some sitting room and the opening is smaller compared to the regular toilet seat it replace... Read More

The seat was incredibly easy to install, I replaced the old one in about 30 minutes. All of the required hardware is included, all you need is a screwdriver and (maybe) an adjustable wrench (don’t overtighten). It is important to note that you do need to have an electrical outlet nearby. I installed a new one a few weeks ago knowing that I was getting this. The seat itself is comfortable, but you do lose some sitting room and the opening is smaller compared to the regular toilet seat it replaced, because the back part of the seat that houses the electronics and such take up some of the space. It is also simple to use, there are two buttons on left that toggle through low, medium and off settings for the heated seat temperature and water temperature. The dial on the right controls the water flow and ‘aim’ (forwards for front, back for rear and center for ‘off’). The flow isn’t overpowering, but enough to get you clean, and the water warms almost instantly. The sprayer itself is contained when not it use and has a self cleaning system, while the exterior doesn’t appear to be any more difficult to clean than any other seat. It also has a light that automatically illuminates for nighttime visits. My only complaint would be that the cord could be a little longer. I was able to reach mine on the opposite side, but an extra foot or two would’ve been nice so I could tuck it away better. In summary, it may seem a little expensive at first, but when you consider what you pay for a night or two at a fancy hotel compared to something like this that will last you for years of use, I think it is totally worth it. It will also save you money on toilet paper (although you’ll still need some to dry off) and have less impact on your pipes and the environment. It will get you cleaner and the seat heater and warm water are an added comfort. Go ahead and get one…your posterior will thank you later.  Read Less

I set aside an evening to install it. It didn't in fact take me too long to install it (about 45 minutes) - though I did have to watch the video instructions on YouTube a couple of times, and I did have a bit of a tussle making sure the various valves were properly tightened. Once installed, it's a wonderful piece of technology. Its thin and sleek design makes it fit snugly beneath your toilet seat with none of the unsightly unevenness of other bidet brands. It contains two cleansing modes - one for feminine hygiene and the other for the rear end. The valve on the T-adapter allows you to turn off the water flow to the bidet - so kids and gremlins can't mess with it. The valve also allows you some control over the pressure of the water that jets into your rear end. For the price - $60 - this is a very good investment in your hygiene. Read Less

I installed this in our master bathroom and we have used it for about a month now. Since my wife often uses flushable wipes, I got this in hopes of eliminating (or at least significantly decreasing) such usage since they can cause plumbing issues (i.e. clogs!). This was super easy to install...took less than 20 minutes. It comes with a cord that when plugged in heats the seat and the water, but you can also use it without plugging it in which is what we've been doing since we don't necessarily care about a heated seat and/or water. It has two directions of spray (a slightly forward direction and a rear [no pun intended!] direction). You simply use the dial/switch on the side to turn on the spray (move it forward for the front area and move it backward for the rear). It also has two flow settings (min, max) for each direction...so you can choose to spray a little or a lot depending on the situation. We absolutely LOVE this product!!! I wasn't sure how much I would actually use it when I got it but I think I use it more than my wife at this point! Lol It's just so easy and convenient to use. It's also self cleaning btw so now worries there, and the lids are self closing so no more accidentally "dropping" the toilet seat! I would definitely encourage people to check this product out. It's high quality and works flawlessly...and it will definitely eliminate or at least save on the use of flushable wipes!!! :) Totally worth it. I already had an American Standard toilet so when I saw they made a seat specific to their product I decided to try it instead of Bio Bidet. Although it took a month to arrive (Corona set production back), it finally arrived and I looked at a you tube video for installation tips. I'm a 70 year old lady who lives alone and didn't want to pay a plumber. Lucky for me, I didn't need to. Instructions along with the video proved to be all I needed. I already had an American Standard toilet so when I saw they made a seat specific to their product I decided to try it instead of Bio Bidet. Although it took a month to arrive (Corona set production back), it finally arrived and I looked at a you tube video for installation tips. I'm a 70 year old lady who lives alone and didn't want to pay a plumber. Lucky for me, I didn't need to. Instructions along with the video proved to be all I needed. Everything hooked up, with no leaks and the plate lined up well and I am proud of myself for the accomplishment. The only thing that I didn't know was that the plug is on the right side if you're facing the toilet and my outlet is on the left side, so I'll have another outlet installed. meanwhile I had to carry it over the back of the toilet to plug it in. I love the night light, the warm water and the various water pressure controls. I think I'm going to enjoy it so much that I won't ever be without one. Love it!  Read Less

Wow! I ordered two GenieBidets a few days ago and they arrived this morning. Install for the first was approximately 15 minutes. The second one was even faster...maybe 10 or 12 minutes. I love the fact that the base itself is so thin...the toilet isn't "tilted" as it is with some of the other models on the market (a friend of mine has a "Luxe" model and he had to "pad up" the front of the seat to reduce the seat tilt that he encountered. Wow! I ordered two GenieBidets a few days ago and they arrived this morning. Install for the first was approximately 15 minutes. The second one was even faster...maybe 10 or 12 minutes. I love the fact that the base itself is so thin...the toilet isn't "tilted" as it is with some of the other models on the market (a friend of mine has a "Luxe" model and he had to "pad up" the front of the seat to reduce the seat tilt that he encountered. I've heard nothing but good things about this product, and now am glad to say I can agree...the bidet provides just the right amount of pressure and there is no "splash out" from the toilet at all, whether using the rear "bum" spray or the front "lady" spray. This is a real bumsaver, as I had an issue with a hemorrhoid earlier this year, and my doctor suggested a product like this. I think I'll be ordering another at some point soon for the third toilet in our house. Thanks for a great product that's easy to install and very simply attractive (blends right in with the white toilet as if it's always been there. UPDATE: JANUARY 2021: Just ordered my third Genie Bidet. I have been spreading the word for three years about this product and so many of my friends/family/co-workers have purchased them...and they all say they wonder how they got on without it. One of my 2017 Genie Bidets had a slight leak within the valve (inside the plastic somewhere behind the rotary knob) but it's my "busiest toilet in the house" in my downstairs half bathroom. This thing has gotten a LOT of use and I was happy to replace it with a new model. For the heck of it, I contacted customer service (Mike answered my questions on a weekend!) and asked if there was any fix for this. The unit didn't leak when it was not being used, just a steady drip while the "rinse" was activated. Mike explained that it might be an issue with a seal or gasket internally, perhaps due to water quality, etc. I understood that it was 3 years old and had served me well, but he offered to ship a replacement seat unit (everything but the connectors and hoses) for a very modest price. I jumped at the opportunity, knowing I could use the existing hardware and add one more bidet to my home collection. THIS IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'm so glad I chose Genie Bidet in the first place as there were several competitors in 2017, and so many more now. I'll stick to the product that has been a life-saver around here.
