What a great product ! We have had the KOHLER C3 155 Electric Bidet Seat for about two months now and we love it. After installing an adjacent GFI plug, the package comes with all new flexible white piping and fittings to connect to a toilet. It has many unexpected features: The seat is automatically kept warm or cool as needed. It's washing and drying functions will only operate when you're sitting on. With the press of a button, a nozzle automatically adjusts as needed to your front and rear. The water is automatically heated or cooled as needed. The stainless steel washing nozzle automatically adjusts to spray or pulsing as desired. When a cycle is completed, the nozzle retracts & automatically cleans itself. When washing is completed, a dryer blows cool or warm air as desired. Toilet paper is no longer needed . When you leave the toilet seat, an automatic deodorizer filters the surroundings. It has a built in blue light that kills bacteria. It turns on automatically when you turn the bathroom lights off. It doubles as a great night lite. Both Kohler and Home Depot had a home run with this product. We love it, BOBM1

[Incentivized Review] Gotta Love This Seat

Per Kohler's installation manual this bidet requires a 120 volt 15 amp dedicated line with a 15 amp GFCI outlet placed within 32 ins. of the bidet seat. I don't have that. I also don't have an attic and I don't have a basement. Installing this line will require a few hours in a 3 ft. high, dirt floor, crawl space. In the spring I'll do a proper installation but for now this is getting powered up with a 12 ga. 20 amp extension cord plugged into a 15 amp GFCI outlet in the next room. The installa...

The installation of the seat is very simple, the only tools you'll need are a flat head screwdriver and an adjustable wrench or a pair of pliers . Remove the old seat, clean and disinfect the bowl, screw down the new mounting bracket and snap on the seat. The mounting bracket has a large range of adjustability to get the seat positioned just right. The water connection is done with the supplied chromed metal "T" fitting placed between the supply line and the toilet tank. The water feed from the bidet screws onto this fitting. Plug in the power cord and you're done. They also included a supply line, from the tank to the "T" fitting, in the event yours is iffy. I replaced a non-electric bidet seat and was able to reuse the old "T" fitting. The seat has a built-in safety switch which disables all function until it senses weight on the right side of the seat. The LED control panel offers a ton of features. Front cleaning (3 pressure settings), rear cleaning (3 pressure settings), automatic wand extension for manual cleaning, dryer (3 speed settings), heated seat (3 temperature settings), water temperature (3 temperature settings), oscillate / pulsate spray, manual UV sanitize button and deodorizer button. There's also a very cool night light which can be switched off if you don't want it. For cleaning purposes the seat is easily removed from its mounting bracket with a push of a button. If required, the self-cleaning stainless steel retractable spray wand can be cleaned manually with a soft bristled brush and hot water. There's also a 45 minute UV disinfecting cycle which activates automatically once every 24 hours. My well water has a high sediment content, I have filters throughout the house, Thankfully Kohler included a removable filter screen to trap the contaminates before they reach the water reservoir. The seat's a pleasure to use. No more icy cold water, although, that was an eye opener first thing on a winter morning. I lived in Europe where bidets are a common fixture and I can assure you that once you own one you'll appreciate this appliance. Kohler includes a 3 year limited warranty from the date of installation for normal residential use.

Replaced my K 4737 with this model. Both are great.

I just purchased this to replace my well used Kohler K 4737. We had that model for 6 1/2 years. Never a problem. Heavily used. We just decided to take advantage of a good price on this newer model. I really felt badly when I disposed of an old friend that never let us down. I will compare the two. I just purchased this to replace my well used Kohler K 4737. We had that model for 6 1/2 years. Never a problem. Heavily used. We just decided to take advantage of a good price on this newer model. I really felt badly when I disposed of an old friend that never let us down. I will compare the two. The biggest difference to me is the inline hybrid heater of this model, vs the tank heater of the K 4737. I like the tank heater better. Immediate and very hot water. Can actually feel scalding at the highest setting. Reheats very quickly. The 8298 starts off cool, and does not get as hot. Why get the new model? The K 4737 looks like it belongs in a nursing home, with its high tank. The new model looks much better. The new model has stainless steel nozzles vs plastic. My wife says this will be much easier to clean. The new model also feels more comfortable to sit in. I didn’t need to change the fittings when I switched seats. That was nice. Caution. Before you place the seat on the toilet, pull out the inlet connection from the seat. I mounted it first, and was not able to pull out the inlet tube. Had to remove the seat. When I reinstalled it, a 10 second job, I could not get the seat to lock in place again. Maybe a benefit. Doesn’t move. Easier to pull out to clean. These are very easy to pull away for cleaning, even when locked. Just push a tab. I have had two other brands that had remotes. Found them to be a pain, that constantly dropped on the hard bathroom floor. Did not want a remote model. Both of the other brands worked nicely, but developed defects within two years for one, and 90 days for the other. Junked them. Mfg no help. In my review of the K 4737, I put three photos on, showing the installation by an electrician. Metal sheathed wiring was connected and ran from the GFI plug, under the sink cabinet, and another plug was installed on the cabinet side next to the toilet. Nice to have a second plug on the other side of the cabinet. Let me separate the waterpic from the electric toothbrush. Installation was neat, invisible, and no wall repairs were needed, Also want to add that I installed the other brands in a different bathroom. The electrician, from the same company, had no idea what to do. Had no metal sheathed wiring, required per code. I showed him the first installation He replicated it. Recommend that if you have an electrician out to do one plug, have him do it for your other bathrooms at the same time. If you need it for another bidet it will be there. If not, the extra plug is nice.

Good bidet with a few caveats

Have been using this almost a year now. Installation is easy and has all required parts. I like the fact it has a stainless steel want - the Toto washlets have a plastic nozzle. Have been using this almost a year now. Installation is easy and has all required parts. I like the fact it has a stainless steel want - the Toto washlets have a plastic nozzle. Otherwise, it is a great functioning bidet, and I've just ordered a C3 050 for a 2nd bathroom which is missing the heated seat and the deoderizer. I'm okay with that due to current pandemnic pricing on the 155, and also, there are some drawbacks 1. The heated seat cannot be turned off. Kohler said it would not be on when not in use, which is a lie as measured by my FLIR infrared camera. There is no eco mode to turn off the heated seat either, which the Toto Washlets have so you're not heating it at 2AM. 2. The first 1 second of water is unheated. I wish Kohler would have let more water dribble out of the wand, expelling the cold from the lines, before engaging full pressure. Not a deal breaker and I think I prefer the on-demand style versus the resevoir of the low/mid range washlet. 3. The deoderizer... I just moved our bidet to another washroom after almost a year of use. The intake grill for the deoderizer fan had quite a build up of basically, toilet paper dust, that had a slight yellow tinge. I mean, it's a toilet, I'm not eating off it. Just know that if left uncleaned, it could build up and clog this feature. I'm also not sure if it really makes a huge difference in the bathroom smell. Note it is possible to turn off the deoderizer function. With #1 and #3 above, consider if you really want the heated seat and deoderizer, if not the C3 050 will save you a few bucks and has less moving parts to break.
