Works Well and Fits Our 1.6 gpf Kohler K3466 San Raphael One-Piece Toilet !

Wife wanted a bidet seat for several years. Each time I researched, I was scared off by the price. Finally convinced it was time, I was really challenged to find a seat that would fit our Kohler, San Raphael, one-piece toilet. Even Kohler support said they didn't have one to fit. But, one of the Kohler, on-the-phone salesmen, Lucas, sent me a follow-up email with a Kohler, 1.6 gpf, San Raphael cut sheet that recommended the K-4108 (PureWash E750 - which is the new name for the old Kohler C3...
Wife wanted a bidet seat for several years. Each time I researched, I was scared off by the price. Finally convinced it was time, I was really challenged to find a seat that would fit our Kohler, San Raphael, one-piece toilet. Even Kohler support said they didn't have one to fit. But, one of the Kohler, on-the-phone salesmen, Lucas, sent me a follow-up email with a Kohler, 1.6 gpf, San Raphael cut sheet that recommended the K-4108 (PureWash E750 - which is the new name for the old Kohler C3 230) Elongated bidet toilet seat.
At almost $900, (we have a biscuit-colored toilet and chose the more expensive, biscuit colored seat to match), it was a hard bullet to bite but I ordered it. Showed up 3 days later. Took the original seat off and set the new bidet seat on the toilet and it fit !!! Only took about 20 minutes to fully install, adjust, and plumb but it fit and no leaks.
Now, getting it to work was a separate challenge. Plugged it in and installed 4 AA batteries in the remote base. When I pushed on the buttons on the seat, the lights came on but nothing happened inside the toilet. Reread the instructions, pushed the buttons again, attempted to link the remote, but still nothing like I expected. Unplugged for 30 minutes, plugged back in, tried everything again and still no expected response. (The seat would trickle water like it was cleaning the wand and then nothing. Occasionally I would push the fan button, and the wand would come out and spray until I pushed stop. The deodorize button did work reliably.) Sat down on the seat, tried everything again, same results. Discouraged and it being a Friday evening, I just left it alone, plugged in, figuring to call Kohler support Monday morning.
Woke Monday morning and the wife told me that she had successfully used the bidet seat Sunday night. All buttons worked properly on both the seat and the remote. I tried it that morning with the same, successful results. I guess it just needed to sit there and think about things for a while - but more likely, the remote needed more time to fully charge off the batteries.
Bottom line, if you have a Kohler, 1.6 gpf, one-piece, K-3466, San Raphael toilet, this K-4108 Bidet seat fit and works for us. Best as I can tell, it is the ONLY bidet seat that will fit this toilet - and I checked with several on-line bidet shops - in addition to Kohler.
I'll try to submit a follow-up in about 6 months.

Overall I'm happy with this thing. The whole family loves it and I am a hero to my wife. Installation was very easy and it is working just as I'd hoped. Only issues I have with the unit are:
1) The night-light is very bright. Not a big deal, but it is a bit of overkill. I read a review on Amazon about how this thing does some sort of cleaning cycle at night, and it blinks on and off. The guy was pretty upset as it made his bedroom like a disco in the middle of the night. I haven't seen that beh...

The guy was pretty upset as it made his bedroom like a disco in the middle of the night. I haven't seen that behavior at all so maybe that's been resolved. Supposedly it was a cleaning cycle of the wand.
2) Conversely, the display on the remote control is a little dim and I can't see the controls very well during the day. Again, not a big deal since there's a nearly identical set of controls right next to your right butt cheek that are easy to see.

[Incentivized Review] C3-230 Elongated Bidet Seat

I’m new to the bidet world, not having any prior experience with bidets. We hired a local plumber to replace our 30-year old contractors toilet that came with the house with a Koehler dual flush Wellworth elongated toilet and C3-230 matching bidet seat. Health issues having increased the frequency of my bathroom visits, I was hoping this would alleviate some of the discomfort I was experiencing. I’m new to the bidet world, not having any prior experience with bidets. Health issues having increased the frequency of my bathroom visits, I was hoping this would alleviate some of the discomfort I was experiencing. It’s a strange feeling when you first try the bidet, but you soon get used to it. It works flawlessly and has eliminated the problems I was encountering. I still use toilet paper, but a lot less. I don’t know how one goes paperless. The only problem we’ve had is regarding the blue nightlight. I like it. My wife has trouble sleeping with it on if we leave the bathroom door open. This is especially a problem when the LED light is flashing indicating the UV light is cleaning the wands. If I could decrease the LED’s light intensity and program the wand cleaning time to avoid this nighttime problem, it would be perfect.

Not up to Kohler reputation.

Purchased this seat about 4 months ago. I discovered quickly that the installation manual and user manuals were not accurate or complete. More accurate manuals are available online but the user manual online is still not accurate or complete. The cleaning cycle is annoying and seems to come on at random times and there are program and operation burps that are related to the program I believe. After becoming accustomed the seat and it’s operation I think the seat is a terrific idea and we love it in spite of it’s imperfections. The remote is great and I would not get a bidet seat without it. I do believe it should be near perfect for this price and did expect a better product.

Falls short when compared to competitors. A few negatives with this model after comparing vs. other brands. The biggest negative is the poor design as noted by other reviews on other websites. Falls short when compared to competitors. A few negatives with this model after comparing vs. other brands. The biggest negative is the poor design as noted by other reviews on other websites. The instructions and spec sheets highlight space needed behind the seat (between the seat holes and the tank), but what isn’t mentioned in the specs, and what I learned the hard way, is that the curve of the bowl RIM also restricts proper fit. This is because the wand and heater mechanisms bulge out from beneath the seat (not mentioned or shown on any of the online specs). So, if your bowl rim is narrow in the back (despite being elongated), the seat doesn’t actually sit “flush” limiting placement and, at best, the front of the seat hangs out / over the front of the rim. This issue doesn’t seem to impact certain Kohler models (I have a Kohler Memoirs) but didn’t fit on my American Standard toilets. Frustrating and required me to return to Home Depot.
Also, when using heated water, the draw on power on this model seems fairly significant as the lights in my bathroom dim / flicker when in use. Additionally, the water comes out cold if you first don’t play with the heat setting just prior to use which is a pain as you need to cycle from cold to hot in order to get to your desired temperature (see criticism of the remote functionality below).
The cleaning water pressure is fair but compared to other brands there’s no comparison. Worth noting is that the method of automatically cleaning the wand relies on a combination of water and UV light, which other people have noted can be annoying at night as the blue light flashes on and off (like disco) for some time during cleaning, but not sure if this is truly effective in sanitizing.
Finally, while attractive and modern looking, the remote functionality can be improved as the buttons require you to cycle from lowest setting to highest setting to get to where you want to be. For example, if the water temp is too hot while using, you need to cycle to cold then to warmer to get to desired temperature (no way to get from directly from hot to warm). Same for the wand positioning, if you want to move it back you need to cycle forwards and then to back to get to desired positioning.
On positive notes, the deodorizing fan can be shut off easily if needed (more difficult to shut off on the Toto). Which is important as it’s loud and can be annoying. Also, the remote is much sexier / sleeker compared to there brands. Would think that Kohler (if it is actually Kohler that manufactures this) would have put more thought into this model when comparing to competitors.

[Incentivized Review] Disappointing Performance
one startwo starsthree starsfour starsfive stars
I have recently had this installed in a new home. The specification information says air speed and temperature are adjustable. Very little air comes out when dryer mode is in use. There are no instructions in the users manual on how to adjust air speed, only temperature. After contacting Kohler, it seems there is an error in all
Of there advertising and air speed is not adjustable, only temperature. Also when using the cleansing rinse mode the nozzle goes through a
self clean cycle before and after rinsing which strikes you with cold water before the temperature adjusted function kicks in. I was told this is the design of the seat.
