Love the options and light!

I opted to buy this seat over an actual bidet to give more space to my bathroom and I am. It disappointed. I love that the seat has a blue light so at night time I can see where he toilet is and do not have to turn on all the lights. It also has many options for water pressure, position and even temperature! Plus, I can warm the seat so sitting on the toilet is a pleasant experience every time.

Works Great

I purchased this 6 months ago. It works great. The seat is heated, the water temperature is adjustable as is the intensity of the jets. The handheld remote control is very useful and I never have to use the controls on the seat itself. The remote allows preset settings for two people and so you can get the adjustments you want with the touch of one button (pulsate, water temp, wand adjustment, etc).

Perfect! Easy to install. Taps into supply line for toilet tank. Temperature and directional options are easy to select. Great product!

[Incentivized Review] Wow!

The Kohler C3 230 Bidet Toilet Seat is pretty amazing. It's also pretty easy to install but for me required a bit more work. This seat is made for elongated toilets and the one I had was round. I replaced my toilet with a new Kohler elongated toilet and also installed an electrical outlet next to the toilet. Luckily I have a GFCI protected outlet on the opposite wall (next to the sink) which I tapped into to run the new outlet. Connecting the water line, mounting the seat, and mounting the remot...

Connecting the water line, mounting the seat, and mounting the remote took me 20 minutes at best. This seat doesn't just clean front and rear, there are tons of options you can select. There are six heat levels for the seat, the water, and the dryer. There are also six levels of water pressure and the extension of the wand. There is an oscillate and pulsate setting you can set if you like. Moments after you sit down the deodorizer kicks on along with the display on the remote control. The deodorizer works so well we hardly have a need to turn on our bathroom ventilation fan anymore. There are also two user preset buttons which allow you to enjoy all the settings you like with just the press of a button. I almost forgot about the night light. It's pretty cool but also useful for those late night trips to the bathroom where you don't want to disturb anyone by turning on bright lights. I can't really think of any cons but there are a couple of this to be aware of. First because of all the hardware this seat houses, the actual opening is a little smaller than regular toilet seats. Second, if you want to be totally dry, you are going need to sit with the dry on for a short while. We were apprehensive at first but my wife and I have used the Kohler C3 230 for about two weeks now and love it. Bidets are slowly catching on in the U.S. but have been common in other developed countries for decades. This bidet seat is another top of the line product from Kohler which I highly recommend.

Never had one; never thought I'd get one but what the hay: I did it. And NOW I love it. This Bidet is fairy inexpensive, warms the water before spraying and seems to hit just the right 'spots'.

[Incentivized Review] Exotic Luxury

The toilet seat was very easy to install. It took only about 10 minutes at the most. After installing, you cover the seat in plastic wrap and press down on it to test it (you don't want water shooting into your face). Functions: It has a deodorizer fan that comes on when you sit down. You can adjust water temperature, pressure, pulse, and oscillation. You can also adjust air temperature and speed for the fan. It has an automatic led nightlight. Pros: Works great and cleans well. Helps prevent irritation from over-wiping. Fun conversation piece. Cons: It takes a while for the dryer to dry you. Front and back nozzle adjustment is not quite different. Also, due to the price, it's not for everyone.

Reeks of Kohler design and quality

This is the second Bidet product I received from BidetKing. The first product, a premium Bidet toilet seat, did not have a strong enough seat to support large people. After the replacement seat also failed, BK was willing to credit full price to purchase this unit. The step up to Kohler was welcome. This is the second Bidet product I received from BidetKing. The first product, a premium Bidet toilet seat, did not have a strong enough seat to support large people. After the replacement seat also failed, BK was willing to credit full price to purchase this unit. The step up to Kohler was welcome. The unit is sturdy and showed the Kohler design flair in bathroom fixtures. The seat seems stronger and positions you precisely. This may seem uncomfortable at first but consistent, precise, positioning is what makes the bidet functionality “hit the spot” every time. I loved the automatic seat lift on the unit I replaced. The Kohler lacks this feature but IMHO the automatic lifting seats (and lids) are made very light to lift and lower with small motors. The Kohler seat and lid are sturdier and have no weight or avoidance warnings (re:sitting on the lid). The seat is still two-piece to accommodate the heated seat feature. Living in So.Cal, I could do without that feature but most will love the comfort in the wintertime. The remote is really sharp-similar to an iPhone screen. The icons light up clearly. They require just the right touch so you don’t accidentally activate features. You can store settings so If someone messes them up all you do is touch an icon and your individualized preferences are restored. I greatly missed this feature on the brand returned. My only beef was that the installation manual was an “a” version. They are now on “d”. Kohler Customer service was incredibly responsive in replacing a bum part and emailing me the updated instructions. While on the phone he talked be through linking the remote and the seat and tested out features. Both BidetKing and Kohler have been 5 star in after purchase support. The Kohler remote is the best, by far, and the remotes on these units are ALWAYS used. Customization includes spray positioning, water and seat, and dryer heat. Everything easy to adjust and “savable” so you can restore without going through the whole process all over again. And one other Kohler WOW factor is that everything (fittings, wand, and hardware) are all stainless steel. Very little plastics in fasteners and hardware. Quite a difference from my first unit. Instructions clear (with updated manuals, downloadable). DIY is realistic with little skills needed. I hope it lasts with my size. The ultimate torture test. I’m glad BK added this unit to their product lineup.

Falls short when compared to competitors. A few negatives with this model after comparing vs. other brands. The biggest negative is the poor design as noted by other reviews on other websites. The instructions and spec sheets highlight space needed behind the seat (between the seat holes and the tank), but what isn’t mentioned in the specs, and what I learned the hard way, is that the curve of the bowl RIM also restricts proper fit. This is because the wand and heater mechanisms bulge out from beneath the seat (not mentioned or shown on any of the online specs). So, if your bowl rim is narrow in the back (despite being elongated), the seat doesn’t actually sit “flush” limiting placement and, at best, the front of the seat hangs out / over the front of the rim. This issue doesn’t seem to impact certain Kohler models (I have a Kohler Memoirs) but didn’t fit on my American Standard toilets. Frustrating and required me to return to Home Depot. Also, when using heated water, the draw on power on this model seems fairly significant as the lights in my bathroom dim / flicker when in use. Additionally, the water comes out cold if you first don’t play with the heat setting just prior to use which is a pain as you need to cycle from cold to hot in order to get to your desired temperature (see criticism of the remote functionality below). The cleaning water pressure is fair but compared to other brands there’s no comparison. Worth noting is that the method of automatically cleaning the wand relies on a combination of water and UV light, which other people have noted can be annoying at night as the blue light flashes on and off (like disco) for some time during cleaning, but not sure if this is truly effective in sanitizing. Finally, while attractive and modern looking, the remote functionality can be improved as the buttons require you to cycle from lowest setting to highest setting to get to where you want to be. For example, if the water temp is too hot while using, you need to cycle to cold then to warmer to get to desired temperature (no way to get from directly from hot to warm). Same for the wand positioning, if you want to move it back you need to cycle forwards and then to back to get to desired positioning. On positive notes, the deodorizing fan can be shut off easily if needed (more difficult to shut off on the Toto). Which is important as it’s loud and can be annoying. Also, the remote is much sexier / sleeker compared to there brands. Would think that Kohler (if it is actually Kohler that manufactures this) would have put more thought into this model when comparing to competitors.

Over priced and under performing.

This seat was purchased with a full house redo utilizing all Kohler products. The seat is under whelming and is of poor construction givin it's cost and manufacturer's reputation. The top seat cover is very soft and flimsy to the point that one cannot sit on it when closed or even put a foot on it to apply foot creams or socks, etc. Even after programming the remote and attached control panel the wash water or function does not follow the program and the operator icon must be pressed two or thre...

Even after programming the remote and attached control panel the wash water or function does not follow the program and the operator icon must be pressed two or three times to get the seat to respond to the set values leaving one with a cold blast of water or a misplaced wand location. The "slo-close" feature does not allow for the increased weight of the bidet seat and closes very quickly. Also, as a final disappointment, the deorderizer fan is VERY noisy letting almost everyone in the house know if the bathroom is occupied or not. All in all I expected much more from Kohler. There are a number of after market bidet manufacturers who offer better products at half the price. You have lowered by opinion of ALL of Kohler by passing off this poorly designed product to your customers.
