The Kohler C3 230 Bidet Toilet Seat is pretty amazing. It's also pretty easy to install but for me required a bit more work. This seat is made for elongated toilets and the one I had was round. The Kohler C3 230 Bidet Toilet Seat is pretty amazing. It's also pretty easy to install but for me required a bit more work. This seat is made for elongated toilets and the one I had was round. I replaced my toilet with a new Kohler elongated toilet and also installed an electrical outlet next to the toilet. Luckily I have a GFCI protected outlet on the opposite wall (next to the sink) which I tapped into to run the new outlet. Connecting the water line, mounting the seat, and mounting the remote took me 20 minutes at best. This seat doesn't just clean front and rear, there are tons of options you can select. There are six heat levels for the seat, the water, and the dryer. There are also six levels of water pressure and the extension of the wand. There is an oscillate and pulsate setting you can set if you like. Moments after you sit down the deodorizer kicks on along with the display on the remote control. The deodorizer works so well we hardly have a need to turn on our bathroom ventilation fan anymore. There are also two user preset buttons which allow you to enjoy all the settings you like with just the press of a button. I almost forgot about the night light. It's pretty cool but also useful for those late night trips to the bathroom where you don't want to disturb anyone by turning on bright lights. I can't really think of any cons but there are a couple of this to be aware of. First because of all the hardware this seat houses, the actual opening is a little smaller than regular toilet seats. Second, if you want to be totally dry, you are going need to sit with the dry on for a short while. We were apprehensive at first but my wife and I have used the Kohler C3 230 for about two weeks now and love it. Bidets are slowly catching on in the U.S. but have been common in other developed countries for decades. My wife was persistent and finally located this bidet cover in exact bisque color match. Our model has a side panel control, remote control, heated seat, lights for night use and multiple water and heat settings. I was surprised by my family at Christmas whom had it secretly installed. Yes it was easy to install. I have wanted a bidet in our house since we built 22 years ago. Having spent winters in Mexico as a child with my family, where it was common to have a bidet, I decided I would install one in our new house. There was not enough space in the master bathroom for a toilet and bidet so I installed only the toilet. This bidet toilet seat is the perfect solution as it fits on existing toilet! Over the past few years, we had added a bidet seat to two of our bathrooms. This is our first Kohler made bidet seat, and boy is this an upgrade. On our other bidets, it was not uncommon for the warm water to run out during use, leaving you, shall we say 'shocked'. The Kohler employs a tankless water heater, for a constant and non ending supply of perfectly warmed water. We have never had this run out of warm water, not for want of trying. This is very important when choosing a bidet seat. I cannot stress this enough. The toilet has a 'night light' that illuminates the bowl in the dark, perfect for preventing children from 'missing' the bowl in the dark. The seat has an occupancy sensor, basically it knows if your bum in on there, and prevent operation when unoccupied. This is important if you have a cat that likes to jump up on the seat, or children that enjoy pushing buttons. As you sit down, a odor removing fan starts automatically. Whilst not being crass, this works very well, and completely eliminated any obnoxious bathroom smells. The seat itself is heated (perfect for cold winter nights), and it also soft closes, which means you are not going to wake someone up if you accidentally drop the seat closed in the middle of the night. The touchscreen remote, whilst very futuristic looking, is simple to use. Two user programmable settings can be stored in the remote, and adjustments are as simple as tapping the icon on the screen. You can also use the controls on the side of the seat if you prefer. The remote is magnetically secured to its cradle, where it also receives a charge from the batteries in the cradle. You can pick both oscillating or pulsating spray (or both together), water pressure, seat temperature, and air drying temperature. Everything is provided for quick and simply installation to any elongated toilet. The plumbing is accomplished using an adaptor that taps in to the existing feed to your toilets water tank (no soldering, or plumbing skills required), and a power plug that needs a GFCI power outlet.
