I spent a lot of time looking around Amazon for an electric toilet seat/bidet and I kind of got into "analysis paralysis" with all of the choices, the different prices, all of the different features, and all of the positive and negative reviews. I knew going with Kohler was somewhat of a safe bet because I have a few of their other products and the quality seems to be good. Basically, I knew I wanted an electric toilet seat with a bidet with a seat heater, electric deodorizer, and with warm water. I also knew I did NOT want a toilet seat with a remote controller (seriously, why do you need a remote to control something you are literally sitting on?). I found this bidet to be fairly easy to install. I have almost zero plumbing experience, so I was thankful for that. The seat controls are VERY easy to figure out. Everything is pretty self-explanatory. The deodorizer is...ok. It's not the greatest, but it's WAY better than a bidet that doesn't come with one. I love that the toilet seat has an automatic light that turns on at night. I like that it is self-cleaning. I love that the seat is always warm. *One thing to note is that the bidet does not have a connection to your hot water source.* This was actually a POSITIVE selling point for me, because I didn't want to have to drill a hole in my cabinet to get to the sink connections. This means, however, that even if you set the bidet water to the warmest setting, is not going to be warm right away. It does warm up very quickly (I'm talking seconds), though, and I have had no issues with it. The electrical cord doesn't reach too far. My bathroom outlet is right next to the toilet, but it is on TOP of the counter, not below it (I feel like this is how most bathrooms are). So I was disappointed that the cord does not reach that far, however, I got an inexpensive 3-pronged extension cord and that solved the problem. Ultimately, I've had this toilet seat / bidet for about 3 months now and I still love it. Guests love it too! For what fancy bidets are going for these days, I think this is absolutely worth it. I never thought that I'd be reviewing a toilet seat, but this thing is pure magic. I had a little more trouble than I expected trying to install it on my own, but I was able to figure it out. Obviously, with its features it needs to be connected to your water supply. Once installed, it is smooth sailing. This thing is truly amazing. I love that it comes with its own remote control. I never thought that I'd be reviewing a toilet seat, but this thing is pure magic. I had a little more trouble than I expected trying to install it on my own, but I was able to figure it out. Obviously, with its features it needs to be connected to your water supply. Once installed, it is smooth sailing. This thing is truly amazing. I love that it comes with its own remote control. It cleans you as well as itself. It's amazing! It's even heated, which is amazing in the winter. The seat is rather comfortable by itself, but this adds a lot to it. This toilet seat came just in time. I don't know how I ever lived without it. I love it! One of the best things about this seat is that the heat settings and water flow are customizable. I've never felt so clean after using a toilet. There isn't anything I don't like about this seat. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a product like this.  Read Less

As a newbie to the world of cleansing seats, I didn’t understand the appeal at first. It sounds neat, but do you really need one? Maybe not...but it certainly elevates your bathroom experience! First things first - the seat came with everything needed to install it. The instructions were spot on and it also has a user guide on how to pair the remote and troubleshoot any issues. It took my husband less than an hour to install. He says that anyone fairly handy should be able to do this themselves... Read More

As a newbie to the world of cleansing seats, I didn’t understand the appeal at first. It sounds neat, but do you really need one? Maybe not...but it certainly elevates your bathroom experience! First things first - the seat came with everything needed to install it. The instructions were spot on and it also has a user guide on how to pair the remote and troubleshoot any issues. It took my husband less than an hour to install. He says that anyone fairly handy should be able to do this themselves in a similar amount of time. The manufacturer does not recommend using an extension cord. In my experience, almost no one has an outlet close enough to their toilet for this to plug in (unless you’ve had it specifically wired for a cleansing seat). We are currently using a heavy gauge extension cord and it’s working fine. Pairing the remote was simple and only took a minute. It takes a bit longer to get used to warm water hitting your backside and lady bits. I will say the heated toilet seat is quite nice. Our bathroom gets chilly so not sitting on a ice cold seat is a treat! All of the functions work as they should and I like being able to adjust the heat of both the seat and water, spray time and length of the wand, and there is even a fan that blows warm air to dry your rear! Overall, this has been a pretty great addition to our bathroom.  Read Less

Overall this has been a great purchase. It's our first bidet and I have to say it really does upgrade the bathroom experience. The heated seat and heated rinse feels luxurious. Initially I was not sure how I'd feel about the height of the seat but it's actually quite comfortable. I like that the controls are in a remote that is separate and not attached to the seat. Overall this has been a great purchase. It's our first bidet and I have to say it really does upgrade the bathroom experience. The heated seat and heated rinse feels luxurious. Initially I was not sure how I'd feel about the height of the seat but it's actually quite comfortable. I like that the controls are in a remote that is separate and not attached to the seat. It's magnetic and you can control the options and place it back on holder. You can program and customize the settings. I recommend reading the book a few times to get the experience you want! Hubby had to put a GFI outlet behind the toilet and connect the water supply but we are so happy with the result. We are planning on installing the same in our other bathrooms. I gave the remote a 4 star review because it's a little requires time to read and program it. I only gave the softness 3 stars because this seat is not soft - but its comfortable and warm! Read Less
