Smart Toilet is Smart Purchase

My family absolutely loves this toilet! It is so comfortable and easy to use. I like all of the features and love that they are adjustable. The automatic cleanser dispenser is awesome. At first I thought my water bill would increase, but I am pleasantly surprised that it did not! The built in bidet is the greatest feature. I only wish the sprayer came out a little further. I did have to get an electrician to install an outlet closer to the toilet. The only other criticism I have is the difficult to read buttons on the remote control. I did not plan to spend so much on a toilet, but I have to say it is worth every penny/dollar. It is very helpful for the elders who live in the house. We probably will purchase another one for our second bathroom.

One-month review

In one word--wow.

I've traveled through Europe and have seen the tub-like bidets sitting next to a conventional toilet, but never saw the need to try one out; fussing with the hot and cold water taps just seemed backwards.
Then, a month ago, I bought and installed this Woodbridge toilet-seat-style bidet and added it to our conventional toilet. Helps to be a bit handy, since you hook it up to the toilet water supply (via an included T-fitting and a short length of stainless-steel braided water line) and also to an outlet (most bathrooms have GFI outlets these days, but if you don't, the bidet has a GFI already attached).
After learning how to use the thing and its clever remote control, I have to say, again--wow! What an improvement in your basic toilet routine.
Since anything involving toilet utilization usually brings titters from kids and even adults, I will just put it this way. You know what the term "skidmark" means? With this product, NO MORE SKIDMARKS. EVER. It's that good. Makes using toilet paper seem prehistoric. Doesn't take longer to use, just ten times cleaner.
Did quite a bit of research on different bidets. This Woodbridge is a fraction of the cost of other models, yet loaded with features and very well-made. And even if you're hefty, you can use the toilet as a seat with the lid closed. Heavy-duty all around. Five stars and then some.
ONE-YEAR UPDATE: Now it's early November 2021, so we've been using this thing for a little over a year. Gotta say this is one nice appliance. Because it's no doubt complicated inside, with microprocessors, valves, water tanks, heaters, and such, I don't know how many years it will last, but after one year it is exactly the same as it was on day one, and we love using it. Can't think of the last time I used toilet paper, and this cleaning method is far more effective but just as fast.
To repeat, the product is just flawless, the heavy-duty seat can be sat upon when closed, the water comes out immediately warm, the remote works flawlessly, the water fittings are rugged metal, the installation went smoothly. But this is an add-on to your existing toilet base, and a few bases have a shape that is not compatible. Also, you'll need 110v. But no danger from electricity while in use, as the unit already comes with a GFI plug. Your bathroom probably already has a 110v outlet, but eventually you'll want to get another one installed down lower near the toilet once you're sold on the merits of this seat. And trust me, you're probably gonna love it as we do.
I do wish this brand were better advertised, as it's superior in numerous ways to the competition.
1 - 1/2 year UPDATE:
First of all, where has the time gone? One and a half years? Seriously?
Anyway, the bidet seat continues to work flawlessly. Sprayer sprays, nozzle moves to and fro, water is nice and warm, seat is wonderfully warm on these cold winter nights, and the blue internal night light is always a welcome sight at 2am. It would be nice to have a lit remote screen, but we know where the appropriate buttons are in the dark because I put a couple of small squares of tape over the two that are needed so you can feel them without looking.
I am confused by some of the critical reviews here. Missing parts? The toilet "requires" four holes? Four holes? For what? A professional plumber is needed? Not if you are remotely handy. I did find water on the floor behind the toilet a few months in, but it was the rubber gasket on the water line going into the tank; it was old and had been disturbed during the installation. New gasket installed.
We never use the hot air feature, which by the way is plenty hot. Whatever moisture remains on your nether regions is warm fresh water droplets, not urine, so nothing stains or leaves an odor on clothing, and the clothing dries very quickly anyway.
So yes, we are very pleased with this product. A 110v outlet was installed down by the toilet to make the installation neat and professional-looking, and the plumbing is of excellent non-plastic quality. I plan to buy several more of these for other toilets. High-quality product.

Use the massage feature. You'll thank me later.

I’ve had this bidet for nearly four years with absolutely no issues other than some mineral buildup in the nozzle due to hard water. That is easily cleared up with some vinegar and a nylon brush. I found the install to be pretty much a breeze with the most difficult part being connecting the water supply, but anyone handy with a wrench can do it.

The real problem you need to consider is, “Where are you going to plug this thing in?” Odds are that the only electrical outlet(s) in your bathroom are above the sink and you don’t want to drag that thick cord across your counter to stick in that big GFCI plug. It will work, assuming the cord reaches, but it’s an eyesore. You will likely need to install a new electrical outlet in your bathroom. I was fortunate that my laundry room is behind my bathroom and the outlet for the clothes washer is four feet above the floor behind the toilet so I was able to just cut a hole in the wall and install a new outlet in the bathroom connecting to that laundry room outlet. Most people won’t be as lucky.
Don’t expect to completely eliminate the use of TP, but this thing was a godsend during Covid. Not to gross anyone out, but I’ve found that using it a bit before the grunting starts makes the job at hand a little easier and naturally cleanup is easier.
The remote can be programmed for two different people with pressure, nozzle position, heat and other features. It has the massage feature where the nozzle moves back and forth and the heated fan, but these cannot be programmed into individual settings and must be manually selected for each use. Should the batteries die on the remote and you have none handy there is still a couple of basic buttons on the side of the seat so you can still wash.
I took some ribbing when I made it known that I had bought this thing, but I absolutely love it. The cost may have gone up about 50% since I bought it, but knowing what I know now I would still consider buying it today. Be sure to try the massage function. You’ll thank me later.

Good Bidet with minor issues

Good product. A few nitpicks: 1) Can't figure out how to save settings for User 1 and User 2 on remote control. 2) Upper fitting on 3-way valve for bottom of toilet connection is very difficult to install on my 1-piece American Standard toilet. Can only get finger-tight. Even a stubby wrench 15/16" won't get in there. Doesn't seem to be leaking, but would feel better with one more 1/2 turn with a wrench. Would be better if the valve had a plastic-tightener with knurls on it like most water supply to toilet braided hoses so finger tightening would be easier. But overall, am quite satisfied.

Nice bidet seat for the money , but sprayer water pressure too low even on highest setting

I have Woodbridge one piece toilets with the quick release seats, and thought this Woodbridge bidet seat would work with the quick release seat posts that come pre installed on the Woodbridge toilets, but this is not the case. The seat doesn’t fit over the posts and the directions don’t tell you the posts can be removed. You have to pry the metal cover upward to expose the screws and pull the plastic inserts out. You need to use the rubber inserts that come with the seat. Otherwise the installation was intuitive as long as you understand the three way adapter must mount to the plastic tank threaded valve stem from below the tank. I saw the complaints about needing an adapter, but my guess is some people try to install the three way connector at the water supply shutoff valve at the wall which is incorrect. It isn’t easy to access the valve stem if the toilet is installed, but that is what you need to do.
As for the function the features all work, and the blue nightlight is nice. My only complaints are that the water pressure for the sprayer is too low, and I have a new house with awesome water pressure so that isn’t the issue. If you like good pressure go with the Toto, but it’s much more expensive. The other disappointment is that despite being elongated in name the unit robs seating space to enclose the unit between the back of the seat and the tank pushing you forward. I’m 6’3” and 230 lbs and find it less comfortable than a normal elongated toilet seat; nevertheless this problem is common among bidet seats. In terms of features for the money, overall this unit works, and I plan to keep mine.
