That unit worked well enough, but there are some inherent issues with the design of those types of units that I won't bother to get into here, so although the Luxe was still working well enough, we felt that we'd gotten our money's worth, and that it was time to try a handheld. We opted for the version with the brass wand. I understand that the ABS synthetic version can withstand a truck running over it, but I thought we'd just prefer how the solidity of an all-brass unit would feel in the hand. Sure, it's a little heavier, but I like the solid feel. Install of the unit was very easy, requiring no tools - at least if you have reasonable hand/finger strength to hand-tighten the connections securely; if you have arthritis, fibromyalgia, etc., find a friend to help with that, but DON'T use a tool or you'll risk overtightening or otherwise damaging the tightening knobs. Honestly, I don't absolutely LOVE the water control knob - it's a little stiff (which I suppose is better than too loose) and turning it requires just a shade more strength/coordination/manual dexterity than ideal - particularly in the middle of the night if you're half asleep - but I'll probably get used to it, and it will probably loosen up somewhat. But ideally, I would love a index-finger trigger control, if one could be designed that avoided the engineering faults of some of the thumb-trigger controlled ones on the market. Aside from the solid build quality and ease of installation, and 3-year warranty, two more huge benefits of this model are 1.) the interchangable spray heads, allowing a more dispersed, or more focused water stream, and 2.) the interchangeable wand of two different lengths, plus a wand extension, giving you a total of four different wand length options. Recommended.
