Overall, the product is great! It works as intended and has some very nice features. All of the mechanical and electrical parts work and get the job done with almost no learning curve to use the product. The installation was easier than expected and quite fast once I got a lay of the land.

All features work as advertised. I do like that there are extra settings like more water pressure or a hotter seat if you use multiple button inputs. Just in case you want a little extra. I was skeptical at first about the deodorizer feature, but it works great!
My one complaint is that even though my specific toilet is within the range of sizes needed for installation, the product is still very large. The seat hangs over the bowl, so a few inches of the top of the bowl is exposed in the front. So, it sometimes makes using this a bit awkward.
All in all however, this bidet toilet seat is quite nice and I would recommend it. After using it for a while I can’t see myself going back to a regular seat.

This electric bidet seat is great for anyone looking for the benefits of a home bidet. High quality materials, simple and clean design. Installation is simple, just remove the old toilet seat and install the seat bracket and snap in the bidet seat. Requires a nearby power outlet and tapping into your toilets water line, but everything is included. Has tons of features, and customize-able options. From a heated seat to heated water to charcoal air filter. Spray position and strength can be set to meet anyone's needs. Additionally there is an eco-mode to save power.

Happily warm in an otherwise cold bathroom. Straightforward installation.

As far as I can tell, this unit is identical to the INAX 8013A70GPC-415 in all respects. As far as I can tell, this unit is identical to the INAX 8013A70GPC-415 in all respects. Pricing can vary between the two models, however, so it's worth taking a look at both so long as they're both available. I've installed two of these units now. In one case, the brass fitting on the provided divider did not easily mate with my existing plastic fitting. I ended up calling over my neighbor, a plumber, and it took him about 10 minutes to work the threads over on the plastic fitting so that there would be no leak. I didn't need a plumber for the second install. You might need an electrician to bring a GFI outlet close enough to the seat to avoid running electrical cords around your bathroom. I didn't need that in either case. So, if you can avoid the plumber and the electrician, the installation process involves removing the old seat, orienting and installing the new seat (5-10 minutes), disconnecting the water line and then inserting the divider into the connection (5 minutes), and finally connecting the water line to the seat, powering it up, and testing the functions (5 minutes).
The seat itself is not quite as comfortable as my old Toto seat, largely because it tilts up just a bit in the back (to accommodate the water storage and dispensing areas). It's a little smaller and tighter, somewhat closer to a round seat in fit (although it requires an elongated toilet assembly) because it sits in front of the water storage unit (necessary in order to keep a supply of warm water handy for the spray). But the seat itself is warm, which is wonderful here in New England, where a cold toilet seat is the norm. That is the key difference between this model and lesser priced models, which don't have the seat warming feature. The warm water spray works perfectly, has a widely adjustable temperature (as does the seat), and of course the deodorizing fan that comes on as soon as one sits down is a pleasure as well. The overall assembly works well, looks good, and the keypad to the user's right side is intuitive and straight forward to manipulate.
There is an "eco" setting which will turn off the seat heater and the water warming for 8 hours at the push of a button. If you're going away for a week, you can simply unplug the unit to leave the warming feature off during your absence. Installation/operating directions are clear and other than my initial plumbing issue, I had no problem following the instructions for installation.

Modestly priced with most of the features consumers expect from a powered bidet.

The American Standard Advanced Clean AC 1.0 Spa let Bidet has the basic necessities that you expect to find for one in this price range. The item comes in a massive box and probably takes longer to remove then to install. Directions are straightforward and installation takes around 15-20 minutes if you take your time. If you've installed these before then you should be able to make the connections and be on your way in under 10. As with all powered bidets you will need a power outlet that is close by. If you still debating about which ones to look for, getting a powered unit offers many features that you will be glad to have. This particular unit has an easy to use side remote with clearly labeled buttoned. The nozzles are adjustable(3 cleansing modes) along with the water temperature and the heated seat (5 temperature settings) After use the nozzles clean themselves and hide back into storage. The water pressure successfully cleans the intended area and a deodorizer helps neutralize odors. Compared to similar brands the bidet is well made and offers features that many will truly enjoy. The only exception would be the lack of a blower which may or may not be a deal breaker for some. Overall, another quality product from American Standard that is worth your consideration. 4 stars.

With bidets becoming so popular in the United States, it makes sense for American Standard to offer a selection for sale at common hardware stores. The Japanese brand that popularized them, Toto, has sunk in quality with their recent offerings and this AC 2.0 model could be a better buy.

Two of my favorite features in bidets are the heated seats and deodorizing fans, which are not possible on the cheaper unpowered models. The AC 2.0 has both and they work perfectly. The seat temperature can be adjusted to be just right, making me wish all my seats had this function. The fan turns on when in use and for a while after, with nearly silent operation. Other functions I look for are a misting of the bowl prior to each use to prevent fecal matter from sticking and a drying fan. Unfortunately, the AC 2.0 does not have either.
The self-cleaning wands works reliably and the control panel buttons are big and easy to use. The labels are confusing, with the "bidet" being for feminine hygiene. I got a spray in the balls when I pressed that one. The "cleansing" button is for anal use and can be adjusted a bit to hit the right spot, but the main adjustment comes from sitting position. The massage function is pretty lame and doesn't do much. The hot water tank is very small and the water becomes cold quickly. I can't fault the model too much for this, because in-line heaters for unlimited hot water are never available in this price range. An option would be running a hot water line to the bidet, but this would lead to a lot of energy loss due to hot water sitting in the lines, mostly unused for the bidet. For those few who have a small water heater near the toilet, such as under the sink, that would be a good option. Otherwise, just enjoy the warm water while it lasts.
In terms of water stream pressure, it seems largely dependent on your water pressure. My water pressure is unfortunately a little low.
Like many bidet seats, this one has a chunky rounded plastic design that would look at home in a hospital. Build quality is great, though, with a slow close hinges and thick rubber pads to keep things quiet. Installation was quick and painless.
There are so many options for bidet seats that the one I would choose would vary from day to day as prices change. What I can say is that this one is built well and does the job. It holds its own against other options in this price range.
With lots of buzz about modern seat bidets, I was curious about this product. I've really been impressed with this unit. It adds an incredible luxury to our onsuite bathroom. I didn't consider American Standard to be a high tech company, but this seat is incredibly advanced, and likely shares lots of tech with Japanese designs. Install was very easy, taking 10 mins. The only sticking point was getting the seat grommets in place, my toilet had undersized holes. Using a screwdriver and pushing from inside of the grommet was the solution. In terms of features, this thing solves lots of discomforts. It's seat is always warm, with 5 way adjustable temp setting. It has an odor filter with fan, and removes unpleasant smells. It has front and rear water cleansing, with 5 way spray pressure, temperature and position adjustments. Self cleaning for spray arms. There's no maintenance at all. It keeps 0.88L of water stored inside at the prefect temp, and can recover the temperature after just 3 minutes. It features an Eco mode that turns off heat over night for 8 hours, while sleeping to save energy. I was worried that keeping the seat and water hot all day was going to make this expensive to run, however when tracking the power usage, I was delighted to find it uses under 0.4 KWh per day, this works out to just 6 cents per day, $1.8 per month or $21.90 per year. Let me tell you, it'll be the best 6 cents per day you'll ever spend. My wife doesn't love the look, as its pretty large and chunky. but for our onsuite, it doesn't matter how large it looks. I've told my friends and family about it, and for me its a game changer. Plus, it'll pay for itself eventually with the savings in toilet paper.

It has so many features that I cannot cover all of the things I like about it. First, it is sleek and attractive. The side panel that controls the features is attractive and the slow open and close lid is perfect to avoid slamming lids. The heated seat and water (with adjustable temp settings) is great and so comfortable. The water pressure is adjustable with three settings (can be changed to 5) and does a thorough job (I'm going to leave that there rather than be too graphic) There is even an air deodorizer that starts when you sit down and continues for a bit after you get up. There are separate controls for regular cleaning and female cleaning. The nozzle can be adjusted for just the right spot(s). The other thing I think is amazing is the massage feature which causes the water to pulse. And there are air and water filters inline and under the seat that can be cleaned and replaced when issues occur from mineral deposits or the air filter becomes ineffective. I can honestly not say enough nice things about this unit. If I had to say anything "bad" it would be that it is time consuming to install and the instructions are a little confusing. My unit leaked until I realized the issue and fixed it. It was an easy fix. I think I am going to love this thing even more over time.

Bidet
Over the years I had heard of a Bidet but never seen one or knew of anyone that owned one. My curiosity of how they worked and if one was worthy to be purchased rather than a conventional toilet seat finally got the best of me. A Bidet from American Standard who makes a wide variety of quality plumbing products was my choice to try due to having purchased other products of theirs and was satisfied with them. American Standard offers two models of Bidet’s. The one I chose was the Advanced Clean AC 1.0 SpaLet Bidet Seat with Side Panel Operation. The other model available has remote control operation.
The Bidet was shipped to my home and I was a bit surprised by the size of the box The box was quite large and heavy duty. When it was opened I found another box inside the large one with packing material to protect the box. Inside the smaller box was the White Bidet surrounded with more packing material. A well thought out container for their product to arrive undamaged.
The Bidet was processed over the internet so all I saw was a picture. When I took it out of the box I found the size of the Bidet is not much bigger than a regular toilet seat. The back that mounts onto the tank houses the workings so that is noticeable but not intrusive. I did notice that the hole in the seat looked smaller than normal. We will see if it has an effect on the comfort. Also in the box was an Installation and Users Manual along with a few parts necessary to hook it up.
After looking over the manual to get ready to hook it up I found the directions looked straight forward and simple to understand. The accompanying drawings were very clear and labeled appropriately for assisting in understanding what parts went together. If you get a Bidet keep in mind that it requires an electrical outlet. Also check to make sure the distance between the mounting holes in your toilet and any other required dimensions match the Bidet. I have replaced a few toilets and found the mounting holes for a conventional seat have always been a standard distance apart. That may be because I have only had American Standard toilets, yours may be different. As you will read later the importance of correctly measuring your toilet opening.
This Bidet has many advantages over a conventional seat. It features a heated seat with temperature control that I think will be a big plus in the winter. A deodorizer that hopefully works better than a curtesy flush. A soft close seat that I feel should be mandatory on any toilet seat. The easy to reach controls on the right side offer all the features available and are labeled in a way that they are not hard to read. It has an adjustable temperature warmer for the seat. The quick remove button on the side allows for cleaning and adjusting the mount for installation. It has a one year warranty.
During the installation fortunately I did not run into any major plumbing problems which I think may be a first dealing with plumbing. However if the manual would have mentioned a few tricks I had to figure out on my own could have made installation easier and quicker. A word of warning! When connecting the water line be very careful of attaching the brass nut that goes to the tank. In my case it attached to male plastic threads. If the threads are stripped you will have to replace the tank workings. When attaching, the weight of the line will want to make the fitting become cockeyed. Make sure you hold the line up while screwing it on. Hand tighten and check to make sure it is on it square before using the wrench. Do not over tighten as brass to plastic can strip easily. Tighten just enough to seat the fitting so it does not wobble.
Rubber fittings that go into the holes of the toilet that hold the seat down refused to go in. After 10 minutes of trying I thought the holes in the toilet were to small. That was not the case. I put soap on the fitting then aligned it with the hole and then screwed the mounting screw in from the bottom of the toilet only a few threads deep. That allowed me to push the rubber fitting down from the top and pull from the bottom at the same time by using the screw. I twisted both the rubber fitting from the top and the screw a small bit at the same time until it was seated. I then backed out the screw.
Once the water line was hooked up I attached the plastic mount that holds the Bidet to the toilet. Then the problems began. The plastic mount was positioned all the way to the tank and when the Bidet was locked into it I noticed that below the front of the seat opening a large amount of the toilet rim was showing. The toilet is an American Standard elongated bowl which means the toilet bowl opening is longer than some. I was confused how I could see the toilet rim under the seat and thought I installed the plastic mount wrong. The manual calls for minimum and maximum requirements for the holes and toilet dimensions. I double checked my toilet dimensions and found it was within the guide lines. So I tinkered with the plastic mount for over an hour, readjusting and remounting the seat thinking I was mounting it wrong. After all that I decided I had better call American Standard and let them know their measurement guide lines in the manual was wrong. I looked over the measurements in the manual one last time and low and behold I had based my measurements on the outside of the rim not the inside as it shows in the manual. The distance from toilet holes to the inside front of the rim was almost 2” short of the required length of the opening.
Considering that a Bidet was what I wanted my thoughts went to replacing the toilet with one that would fit the Bidet but my wife shot that down because I had put that one in just a year ago. Although the Bidet did not fit exactly as it needed in order to permanently install it, it did sit on the toilet fine to get a feel of the comfort while sitting on it for a dry test. I was not impressed with the comfort. It appeared to be small and I have a small rear end. My wife mentioned the same thing. I will not comment on her backside. Also it ever so slightly seamed to lean forward. Taller bumpers that are attached to the bottom of the seat when built would eliminate that problem. Over time one may get used to the feel. The workings of the Bidet was not tested as I felt doing so I would not feel right returning it due to my mistake in measurement. The quality of build appears to be very good and I would bet that the inner workings match. My oversight will not deter me from getting a Bidet at some point now that I have seen the benefits they offer. I just have to wait for when my toilet needs to be replaced and make sure it will fit a Bidet.
