(Incentivized Review) Very comfortable and leaves one pleasantly clean

We have been using the bidet seat for a few weeks and love it. It was easy to install. It is delightful to sit down onto a warm seat especially on a cold night. The adjustable spray is quite comfortable and the temperature is perfect. The female spray is also well positioned and cleans well. The cycle length is good though if a second cycle is required for messier occasions the water temperature does get a bit nippy. I periodically find the lid falls down but I think this is more due to the shelf behind our toilet than the design of the seat. Overall we are very happy with it and can easily recommend it.

[Incentivized Review] Nice addition to bathroom.

This product seems to be a nice addition to our bathroom. It took a bit to used to, but once we got the settings where we wanted them, it started growing on us. You can adjust the heat of the water, the heat of the toilet seat, and also the level at which the water sprays out. There are separate nozzles for front and back, as to not cross contaminate. You can use the eco button so the toilet seat isn’t constantly being heated 24/7. I prefer to keep my seat heated during the night and first thing...

I prefer to keep my seat heated during the night and first thing in the morning, then I use the eco to button during the day.
I must say, if I end up having another baby, this bidet would be wonderfully perfect in the days and weeks after delivery!!
As far as installation goes, my husband installed it in only 10 minutes. However, with the plastic inserts that were included, the toilet seat does not fasten well to the toilet, leaving the toilet seat wiggling. He is going to replace those.

With bidets becoming so popular in the United States, it makes sense for American Standard to offer a selection for sale at common hardware stores. The Japanese brand that popularized them, Toto, has sunk in quality with their recent offerings and this AC 2.0 model could be a better buy.

Two of my favorite features in bidets are the heated seats and deodorizing fans, which are not possible on the cheaper unpowered models. The AC 2.0 has both and they work perfectly. The seat temperature can be adjusted to be just right, making me wish all my seats had this function. The fan turns on when in use and for a while after, with nearly silent operation. Other functions I look for are a misting of the bowl prior to each use to prevent fecal matter from sticking and a drying fan. Unfortunately, the AC 2.0 does not have either.
The self-cleaning wands works reliably and the control panel buttons are big and easy to use. The labels are confusing, with the "bidet" being for feminine hygiene. I got a spray in the balls when I pressed that one. The "cleansing" button is for anal use and can be adjusted a bit to hit the right spot, but the main adjustment comes from sitting position. The massage function is pretty lame and doesn't do much. The hot water tank is very small and the water becomes cold quickly. I can't fault the model too much for this, because in-line heaters for unlimited hot water are never available in this price range. An option would be running a hot water line to the bidet, but this would lead to a lot of energy loss due to hot water sitting in the lines, mostly unused for the bidet. For those few who have a small water heater near the toilet, such as under the sink, that would be a good option. Otherwise, just enjoy the warm water while it lasts.
In terms of water stream pressure, it seems largely dependent on your water pressure. My water pressure is unfortunately a little low.
Like many bidet seats, this one has a chunky rounded plastic design that would look at home in a hospital. Build quality is great, though, with a slow close hinges and thick rubber pads to keep things quiet. Installation was quick and painless.
There are so many options for bidet seats that the one I would choose would vary from day to day as prices change. What I can say is that this one is built well and does the job. It holds its own against other options in this price range.
With lots of buzz about modern seat bidets, I was curious about this product. I've really been impressed with this unit. It adds an incredible luxury to our onsuite bathroom. I didn't consider American Standard to be a high tech company, but this seat is incredibly advanced, and likely shares lots of tech with Japanese designs. Install was very easy, taking 10 mins. I didn't consider American Standard to be a high tech company, but this seat is incredibly advanced, and likely shares lots of tech with Japanese designs. Install was very easy, taking 10 mins. The only sticking point was getting the seat grommets in place, my toilet had undersized holes. Using a screwdriver and pushing from inside of the grommet was the solution. In terms of features, this thing solves lots of discomforts. It's seat is always warm, with 5 way adjustable temp setting. It has an odor filter with fan, and removes unpleasant smells. It has front and rear water cleansing, with 5 way spray pressure, temperature and position adjustments. Self cleaning for spray arms. There's no maintenance at all. It keeps 0.88L of water stored inside at the prefect temp, and can recover the temperature after just 3 minutes. It features an Eco mode that turns off heat over night for 8 hours, while sleeping to save energy. I was worried that keeping the seat and water hot all day was going to make this expensive to run, however when tracking the power usage, I was delighted to find it uses under 0.4 KWh per day, this works out to just 6 cents per day, $1.8 per month or $21.90 per year. Let me tell you, it'll be the best 6 cents per day you'll ever spend. My wife doesn't love the look, as its pretty large and chunky. but for our onsuite, it doesn't matter how large it looks. I've told my friends and family about it, and for me its a game changer. Plus, it'll pay for itself eventually with the savings in toilet paper.

Having owned a bidet in the past, I have been curious about these new units that just attach by replacing your toilet seat, instead of having to add plumbing for a separate fixture ($$$$) This thing is a great idea and a beautiful addition to my bath area. It has so many features that I cannot cover all of the things I like about it. First, it is sleek and attractive. The side panel that controls the features is attractive and the slow open and close lid is perfect to avoid slamming lids. The heated seat and water (with adjustable temp settings) is great and so comfortable. The water pressure is adjustable with three settings (can be changed to 5) and does a thorough job (I'm going to leave that there rather than be too graphic) There is even an air deodorizer that starts when you sit down and continues for a bit after you get up. There are separate controls for regular cleaning and female cleaning. The nozzle can be adjusted for just the right spot(s). The other thing I think is amazing is the massage feature which causes the water to pulse. And there are air and water filters inline and under the seat that can be cleaned and replaced when issues occur from mineral deposits or the air filter becomes ineffective. I can honestly not say enough nice things about this unit. If I had to say anything "bad" it would be that it is time consuming to install and the instructions are a little confusing. My unit leaked until I realized the issue and fixed it. It was an easy fix. I think I am going to love this thing even more over time.

[Incentivized Review] Great features!

Another great product from American Standard. Full functionality for a Spalet Bidet Seat. The Front/feminime and Rear Wash has separate spray which is great. Pressure and Position Adjustment is useful since everybody has different position/need when they seat. The message function is a plus. The eco button need to be more clear but helpful in conservation. The only notation is the curvature of the seat itself is higher at the back compare to normal seat, create a sliding seating condition for some. Need to get used to it.

Not For the Handicapped
one startwo starsthree starsfour starsfive stars
It is NOT for handicapped. No dryer and although one answer said the remote COULD be hand held - it cannot. Although I weigh 160 pounds I feel sure I’m not THE heaviest person- the seat is so small that the water doesn’t reach my feminine area. Also water is warm for about 5 seconds 😢
