A Great Addition to My Bathroom

First, I'd like to say that this bidet seat is a great addition to my bathroom. The easy cleaning feature is a total game changer. The side panel control is super user-friendly and makes usage a breeze. Needless to say, I'm highly satisfied with this purchase!

The Advanced Clean AC 1.0 SpaLet Electric Bidet Seat for Elongated Toilet in White is an amazing piece of technology. The bidet (a long time European standard) has 2 self cleaning nozzles with four positions. It comes with five settings for water pressure, water temperature and heated seat temperature (OMG). Included - a slow close seat - no slamming and lid with a detachable seat for easy cleaning. FYI - You need an outet.

Modestly priced with most of the features consumers expect from a powered bidet.

The American Standard Advanced Clean AC 1.0 Spa let Bidet has the basic necessities that you expect to find for one in this price range. The item comes in a massive box and probably takes longer to remove then to install. Directions are straightforward and installation takes around 15-20 minutes if you take your time. If you've installed these before then you should be able to make the connections and be on your way in under 10. As with all powered bidets you will need a power outlet that is...

The item comes in a massive box and probably takes longer to remove then to install. Directions are straightforward and installation takes around 15-20 minutes if you take your time. If you've installed these before then you should be able to make the connections and be on your way in under 10. As with all powered bidets you will need a power outlet that is close by. If you still debating about which ones to look for, getting a powered unit offers many features that you will be glad to have. This particular unit has an easy to use side remote with clearly labeled buttoned. The nozzles are adjustable(3 cleansing modes) along with the water temperature and the heated seat (5 temperature settings) After use the nozzles clean themselves and hide back into storage. The water pressure successfully cleans the intended area and a deodorizer helps neutralize odors. Compared to similar brands the bidet is well made and offers features that many will truly enjoy. The only exception would be the lack of a blower which may or may not be a deal breaker for some. Overall, another quality product from American Standard that is worth your consideration. 4 stars.

Intermediate Price with Intermediate Features

With bidets becoming so popular in the United States, it makes sense for American Standard to offer a selection for sale at common hardware stores. With bidets becoming so popular in the United States, it makes sense for American Standard to offer a selection for sale at common hardware stores. The Japanese brand that popularized them, Toto, has sunk in quality with their recent offerings and this AC 2.0 model could be a better buy. Two of my favorite features in bidets are the heated seats and deodorizing fans, which are not possible on the cheaper unpowered models. The AC 2.0 has both and they work perfectly. The seat temperature can be adjusted to be just right, making me wish all my seats had this function. The fan turns on when in use and for a while after, with nearly silent operation. Other functions I look for are a misting of the bowl prior to each use to prevent fecal matter from sticking and a drying fan. Unfortunately, the AC 2.0 does not have either. The self-cleaning wands works reliably and the control panel buttons are big and easy to use. The labels are confusing, with the "bidet" being for feminine hygiene. I got a spray in the balls when I pressed that one. The "cleansing" button is for anal use and can be adjusted a bit to hit the right spot, but the main adjustment comes from sitting position. The massage function is pretty lame and doesn't do much. The hot water tank is very small and the water becomes cold quickly. I can't fault the model too much for this, because in-line heaters for unlimited hot water are never available in this price range. An option would be running a hot water line to the bidet, but this would lead to a lot of energy loss due to hot water sitting in the lines, mostly unused for the bidet. For those few who have a small water heater near the toilet, such as under the sink, that would be a good option. Otherwise, just enjoy the warm water while it lasts. In terms of water stream pressure, it seems largely dependent on your water pressure. My water pressure is unfortunately a little low. Like many bidet seats, this one has a chunky rounded plastic design that would look at home in a hospital. Build quality is great, though, with a slow close hinges and thick rubber pads to keep things quiet. Installation was quick and painless. There are so many options for bidet seats that the one I would choose would vary from day to day as prices change. What I can say is that this one is built well and does the job. It holds its own against other options in this price range.

(Incentivized Review) Incredible Luxury, Technology, Ease & Efficiency

With lots of buzz about modern seat bidets, I was curious about this product. I've really been impressed with this unit. It adds an incredible luxury to our onsuite bathroom. With lots of buzz about modern seat bidets, I was curious about this product. I've really been impressed with this unit. It adds an incredible luxury to our onsuite bathroom. I didn't consider American Standard to be a high tech company, but this seat is incredibly advanced, and likely shares lots of tech with Japanese designs. Install was very easy, taking 10 mins. The only sticking point was getting the seat grommets in place, my toilet had undersized holes. Using a screwdriver and pushing from inside of the grommet was the solution. In terms of features, this thing solves lots of discomforts. It's seat is always warm, with 5 way adjustable temp setting. It has an odor filter with fan, and removes unpleasant smells. It has front and rear water cleansing, with 5 way spray pressure, temperature and position adjustments. Self cleaning for spray arms. There's no maintenance at all. It keeps 0.88L of water stored inside at the prefect temp, and can recover the temperature after just 3 minutes. It features an Eco mode that turns off heat over night for 8 hours, while sleeping to save energy. I was worried that keeping the seat and water hot all day was going to make this expensive to run, however when tracking the power usage, I was delighted to find it uses under 0.4 KWh per day, this works out to just 6 cents per day, $1.8 per month or $21.90 per year. Let me tell you, it'll be the best 6 cents per day you'll ever spend. My wife doesn't love the look, as its pretty large and chunky. but for our onsuite, it doesn't matter how large it looks. I've told my friends and family about it, and for me its a game changer. Plus, it'll pay for itself eventually with the savings in toilet paper.
