I used to laugh at the idea of a bidet....until I bought this! Was concerned about icy cold water in winter but is not an issue. Simple to hook up, easy to clean.

As a family we have really embraced the new bidet seat trend, and we haven't been disappointed at all with this American Standard model. As a family we have really embraced the new bidet seat trend, and we haven't been disappointed at all with this American Standard model. Installation is very simple, doesn't require power, and allows for easy seat cleaning as well, which is awesome. The various bidet modes (there are four of them) all work great in our home. Two things to note when considering this seat. First, it's going to be a cold water bidet. I don't mind this at all, and in a way it makes it better because the seat doesn't look like some huge monstrosity (it honestly could pass for a regular seat). Second, because if the way it's designed, you will see a braided water hose leading to the seat. It doesn't bother me, but it is noticeable and may bother some people. Still, it functions great, installs easily, and does exactly what it should add simply as possible.

[Incentivized Review] Good basic model for folks on a budget
I am not super handy so it took me probably a bit more time to install than it might take others. That being said I was able to install it myself! I have tried other bidets at friends’ homes and really liked them. This model does the job, but I miss the heated seat and water aspect of other models. I don’t have an electrical outlet nearby so this was a good compromise. At first it took some adjusting to the colder water and some tweaking to figure out the right position for me. Overall a good starter model for folks on a budget!

Well I’m impressed! This seat is a cinch to install and took less than 10 minutes to install. The water connection is very straightforward - connect the tee to the existing water supply and connect the hose to the seat. It’s easy to use - pull the lever back or push it forward to control the two different spray patterns. The water pressure and spray coverage is rather impressive! There are other models that offer a heated seat & heated water - I definitely would spring for those features if possible, but some bathrooms don’t have a power outlet. This seat is a great option for someone looking for an economical, basic bidet seat option.

Been using bidet seats for 10+ years and this is by far the best one I’ve owned. No splashing and always stays clean. Very good product. Hope they make one with a hot/cold option.

This is a decent bidet seat, easy to use. A little less easy to install than the manual suggests, depending on bathroom configuration. And be prepared for cold stream, but very effective, good quality

The Aquawash slim spalet bidet seat is an excellent alternative to the very pricey seats that have to be plugged in. We have one, and we love it but we had to pay to have it installed and also to have an electrician install a plug so all-told it cost us over $500.00. This one is much simpler. Granted, cold water is all that comes out but it still does a wonderful job of cleansing. We have installed it in our spare bathroom. I love that it is very low profile which makes it easy to clean. Our other one is quite large and I have to remove it entirely form the bowl in order to thoroughly clean it. This one I can clean by just lifting the seat. The only problem I had installing it was that I could not get the water hose unscrewed from the outlet. Our toilet is a "wall hugger" and there just was not enough room to fit my hand behind the toilet and unscrew the hose. I had to wait until my young niece came over and with her child hand she was able to get it unscrewed. I would recommend this bidet for anyone who wants a bidget experience without the high cost of the ones requiring electricity.

Plug and play! No need for an electrical outlet, no need for sophisticated tools to install this seat. You just don't get hot water and a warm seat...which in my opinion...complicates things. Easy to remove for cleaning. Orientation of the spray nozzle is good as well.

I really like this bidet seat. It is not electric, so the install is easy and no special plugs are required. I was worried that the water would be really cold because it is not Electric but it is not. It is also easy to use. I would recommend this.
