All the features we wanted at a great price!

I'd wanted a washlet for a while, and my husband, after a business trip to Korea, wound up wanting one as well. I had assumed one with all the features that make a washlet worth it would cost over a grand, so it was kind of just a "someday!" wishlist thing. When I came across this Clean Sense bidet though, my husband and I were both really excited that we could get something with a heated seat, heated water, multiple wash functions, a drier, soft-close seat, air filter, AND a pretty cool-lookin...

I'd wanted a washlet for a while, and my husband, after a business trip to Korea, wound up wanting one as well. I had assumed one with all the features that make a washlet worth it would cost over a grand, so it was kind of just a "someday!" wishlist thing. When I came across this Clean Sense bidet though, my husband and I were both really excited that we could get something with a heated seat, heated water, multiple wash functions, a drier, soft-close seat, air filter, AND a pretty cool-looking remote panel for basically 1/3 what we had expected a Toto to run us. It works great, and in the 3 months we've had it, both of us hate having to use the bathroom when not a home. We trek all the way up 3 flights of stairs in our townhouse just to use the washlet in our master bath instead of the other bathrooms! The wash function keeps everyone feeling clean, the bidet function is a godsend for ladies (great for certain times of the month, as well as before and after, say, romantic evenings!), and the enema has more than enough power and adjustability to speed things up... The drying function works pretty well, although it does take a while and I never feel totally dry. I wish the water was heated as soon as it comes on, but both of us have gotten used to bracing for a bit of a cold squirt at first. The seat heater's lowest setting still makes me uncomfortably hot after sitting there for a while, but it's better than dealing with an icy seat when you first sit down! I turn it off if it starts to get too hot for comfort -- I am not sure how anyone could stand the higher settings though! Even with the few little quirks, this baby is definitely something we can never go back to living without, and it's a very affordable way to add some serious hygenic luxury to what are usually fairly mundane or unpleasant parts of everyone's day.

Unbeatable value, long lifespan, unique enema feature

Five years after purchase, we are still very happy with our DIB-1500R. In addition to on-demand continuous warm water, I hope never to have to return to living without its enema function -- terrific for constipation and, um, incomplete transactions. The price is right, shipping to Canada went without a hitch, and this washlet performs beyond expectation. It has remained easy to clean and has not discoloured as I might have expected with white plastic in direct sunlight. The only areas for improvement with this seat would be a sittable lid design and a more robust soft-close mechanism. But for the price, I have no justifiable complaints. Thanks Bidet King!

overall great product

I love this product. Makes you feel very clean and fresh especially that time of the month or after a dump. A necessity!!! Love the heated seat and the seat night light. Very comfortable. Love the soft close feature. Has lots of options. I bought 2!!! The reason for 4 stars is the remote NEEDS a light. Blue backlight would be nice. It is not very easy to program or preset for individual use. I wish more people would state that the remote needs a light in their comments. DEFINITELY worth the purchase.

BidetKing.com Response: HI anikyd51, if the lid soft close damper/hinge has repeated failures, it's mostly likely something going on during use. Is the user leaning back on the lid while seated? Is someone using the closed lid as a seat? These are the most common causes of those issues. Please give us a call if you are experiencing something different. Thanks!

Had all the features at a great price

"so here's the scoop. i did about a month of research before i bought one and learned a few things. when you shop for an electronic bidet seat, you're basically paying for extra features. almost all the seats on the market today come with what ill call 'the basics'. front and rear washes with position/temp adjustment, heated seat, soft close lid, and enema function. 'the basics' are pretty much standard on all bidet seats on the market. inax, bio bidet, toto, coco, cleansense, everything. then c...

Why Didn't I get one years ago?

I have Ankylosing Spondylitis, and the fusion in my spine has progressed to the point that I can no longer reach my backside. to offer a little TMI, I had to change my underwear several times a day, or jump in the shower after every trip to the "Loo"...The Clean Sense Bidet has changed all that! I am amazed at how clean I stay, and would reccomend a bidet for everyone! I am amazed at how clean I stay, and would reccomend a bidet for everyone! (much better than TP) Also, if you are worried about cost, the savings in toilet paper expense more than makes up for the additional cost of electricty and water (a couple of dollars per month??? didn't even notice it on my bills) I did lots of research on Bidet's (what is Plural for Bidet?), and feel that the clean sense has the best set of features for the money. It uses a tankless water heater, so it does not run out of heated water, the heated seat is great for those cold nights, and to be explicit, it has a bidet mode for feminine wash, a clean mode for the backside with plenty of power, and the enema mode is great for getting that "itch" you don't want to scratch in public...I don't use them much, but it even has a pulse mode, and a massage mode. To keep the nozzle clean, there is a self clean rinse, which runs both on start, and on finish. Remote control: Is a bit large, but how often are you holding other things while taking care of business? It is well laid out with an LCD panel to show you what is happening. It even has a clock! It only took a few minutes of sitting on the throne, and playing with the buttons to learn how to use it. AND, to help you learn all the functions, it comes with a plastic laminated card that you can leave in the sink :) All of the features include multiple settings for personalized comfort - Water temp, Seat temp, Air Dry Fan Speed, Position, Massage, and Mode can all be adjusted for your driving pleasure. It also has personal settings for up to four people ( I am the only user, so I have not used this feature) It also comes with a mounting bracket for the remote, but I just set mine on the counter top. Looks: IT actually looks quite sleek with a blue night light that turns red when the seat is warm. The lid wraps around the seat, and you never have to worry about slamming it, just pull and walk away, it gently lowers the lid for you. Installation: The box has everything in it that you need to install, and the instructions are easy to understand. I am a mechanical "klutz", and I was able to install it by myself in about 45 minutes. the only tools needed were a screw driver and a channel lock pliers. CONS: Power Cord is too short. No inline water filter (some vendors include this, and removing the minerals will prolong the life of the device), so be sure to ask for one when you order. Single spray nozzle, this is more of a feature than a con. It works very well, and there is no problem getting full coverage. PRO: Price/feature ratio is a GREAT buy for your money It has plenty of pressure to get you clean... I know I went on a bit, I think I covered everything...I reccomend the Clean Sense bidet 100%

Great until it breaks... and it will break

I've had two of these. I bought another one after the first one broke because when it works, it's REALLY good and has features that similar units don't have. With the first one, the first thing to go was the sound effects. Then the remote stopped controlling the seat no matter where we moved it, tried new batteries, etc. Finally, all of the buttons stopped working. Then the remote stopped controlling the seat no matter where we moved it, tried new batteries, etc. Finally, all of the buttons stopped working. It was just past the warranty period but we liked it so much we bought another one. This one was a similar but worse story. Once again, right outside the warranty period the sounds stopped working. Then, the soft close seat function failed. Then the nightlight died. Then the seat cracked in multiple places. I've had it with this unit. When it works, it's great. But it will fail and you would be better off spending more money on a more reliable unit. The build quality on this is just unacceptably bad. You better get the extended warranty if you buy this.

Weak and. brittle plastic housing

I have bidet model DIB-1500R.The mechanism works ok, but the plastic housing is weak and brittle..First the seat cracked at both ends, this I repaired using epoxy and fibre glass ,then the seat damper broke, and the upper and lower housing cracked at several places as well as around the screws. I had to buy the seat, the upper and lower housing and the seat damper for 200$. I received the parts few weeks ago and managed to replace them Refer to my E-mail dated Jan 15 and Feb 23. This bidet do not last more than 4 years
