A Good Fit for Me
I looked at six or seven different bidet seats online, and decided that the Delta's measurements were the best fit for my toilet--even though it is not an elongated model. Installation went smoothly except for one problem with the supply hose requiring a trip to Rona, but that was in no way the fault of the bidet kit. I looked at six or seven different bidet seats online, and decided that the Delta's measurements were the best fit for my toilet--even though it is not an elongated model. Installation went smoothly except for one problem with the supply hose requiring a trip to Rona, but that was in no way the fault of the bidet kit. For most people, it should be a 20-minute job requiring only a screwdriver and an adjustable wrench. The adjustable bracket makes it pretty easy to adjust the seat's position to your particular toilet. And being able to quickly remove the seat entirely for cleaning is a nice feature. Once everything was in place, it was time for a test. I found both the aim and the pressure of the nozzle to be spot on--although this being my first bidet, I don't have much to compare it to. I'm a male, so I'm only using the "rear" nozzle. I'll ask for additional commentary from my female guests. I'm writing this in the dead of winter, during an unusually long (for Vancouver), sub-freezing cold snap. The unheated water is, shall we say, bracing. Especially after multiple tests. But as I live alone and the toilet routinely goes several hours between uses, the water has time to warm up to room temperature for most uses. For all but a few weeks of the year, I don't think I'll miss having a heated water supply. I don't have an electrical outlet anywhere near my toilet anyway, so it's not going to happen. Already, I know I'm never going back to toilet paper. This is so much more effective.
Yes and No
The quality of the seat is outstanding. It doesn't creak when in use and both sections close softly as described. The controls for the bidet are easy to use. The rub comes in that the 'front' and 'back' sprays land basically in the same place (no amount of knob turning helped, so I have to adjust myself on the ring to make things work in the proper places). Plus, the back spray washes things in the back up to my front, which worries me I'm setting myself up for a UTI.
This is a excellent Bidet only problem is.......
I just received this Bidet a couple of hours ago. It is easy to install, comes with all the hardware necessary to installation. Seat Temp has a range of 5 settings on the remote control. This Bidet works as described. The reasons I gave it 3 stars is the remote comes without batteries first of all. The second reason is the hold down screws that hold the toilet seat to the tank were to small for the holes is my fairly new toilet. If I had not had other types of hold downs in my tools, I would have had to send this back. No where did I see in the item description the size of the hold downs.
