Hot water not reliable
one startwo starsthree starsfour starsfive stars
I bought this bidet when I had double hand surgeries. very easy to use and comfortable for me. (Not for my husband.) not difficult to install. My one big complaint is that the hot water is usually not hot although I have it turned all the way up. Very inconsistent with the heating feature for the water. The heating feature on the seat is fine. I have hot water maybe 10% of the time. Other than the hot water ice would give it five stars all around

Not a Heated Seat-Despite Item Description

Why do all the Kohler bidets claim to be heated in the description, yet when I dig down, NONE of them are??

Love it! Quality construction, easy to pick and purchase (on line) and install. Works great. I’m totally fine without the heated seat, bowl light and warm water rinse . Basic and does the job!

[Incentivized Review] Nice alternative to an electric bidet seat

I've been looking for a bidet toilet seat for a long time. I've lived in Italy and every bathroom I saw had a stand alone bidet next to the toilet. Once you get accustomed to using one they're difficult to live without.

Installing a bidet is not an option for me since I don't have the space for one and even if I did the plumbing would be a nightmare. A bidet toilet seat is a logical solution. A heated seat would be nice but the problem is getting an electrical outlet near the toilet. I have no basement or attic access to run the wires and tearing out wallboard was not something I was willing to do. A non-electric, unheated unit was my only option.
The Kohler bidet arrived quickly and was well packed. There were no broken or missing parts. I followed the very simple and well illustrated instructions. My supply line was made from non-bendable PEX and in order to connect it to the "T" shaped adapter I had to replace the line with a stainless steel braided flexible one. The rest of the installation was uneventful and the whole thing took less than half an hour.
I was concerned that the toilet is bone colored and the bidet is white but the difference is barely noticeable. One small problem that I'll have to work around is that the seat wiggles a little in the mounting bracket. There's no adjustment for this so I guess it's just something I'll have to live with.
As far as the function goes it works flawlessly. With just a twist of the control arm the variable water pressure extends and retracts the spray nozzle, one of three include. Since there's no heating element the cost of operation is zero. I also like the "push button removal feature" that allows for complete cleaning of the bowl rim. It's summer now and the ambient water temperature is comfortable, we'll see what it's like next winter.

Works as Expected

We added this to our bathroom remodel. So glad we did. Works as expected and am satisfied that I went with the lower cost standard model without electric heat.

[Incentivized Review] Easy installation and so far so good in the summer months - Unheated in Winter TBA

Easy installation and so far so good in the summer months - Unheated in Winter TBA
I lived in Japan for a year and many Japanese homes still have squat toilets and for those with sit down western style toilets the heated Toto Washlet or similar is commonplace
My wife has been wanting a Master Bath with stand-alone bidet...I got this bidet seat with the hopes that is will stand the tests of time and make the expense or adding Master bath a moot point
Easy to install and works well...No need cut into the drywall to add electrical connection demanded by the Toto Washlet
Seat can slide off it mounts for extra under hinge cleaning option
