I’ve always loved going to some high end hotels and finding an electric bidet toilet. It makes cleaning up so much more thorough. I didn’t think I could have one since I didn’t have an electric outlet near any of my toilets. I had heard a commercial about attachments to existing toilet seats. When I researched them, they looked clunky and just ugly since they are mostly visible. When I found the whole bidet toilet seat i was amazed. I did some research and settled on the Kohler puretide it looked great and sounded like it fit my needs. My only concern was that it didn’t heat the water but that was a small concern since I live in Hawaii - warm year round. Installation took about 20 minutes for each bathroom and that included removing the existing regular toilet seats. The connections were very easy to do and it looks great in the bathroom. The only thing that looks out of the ordinary is the handle and that’s fine - it’s easy to reach and maneuver when you’re using it. Some people have complained about the size of the seat opening being smaller than a normal seat - but that is to be expected. You’re working with a standard sized toilet boil and you have to find a way to fit in the bidet functionality. That takes up space and there’s no way around that - you have to fit in the bidet’s functions somewhere and there’s no way around that. Also note I am a man and have no problem using it and feeling cramped and uncomfortable down there. My only concern is that when I have people over to my place and they use the guest bath, I have to explain to them to not turn it on unless they’re seated - unless they want to get sprayed with water and have water all over the floor. I’m incredibly happy and wish i had known about this seat years ago! It works like a charm. The spray is very strong and I can direct it as needed. My concern about not having heated water was a non-issue since my cold water isn’t ice cold. It also looks clean and sleek in the bathroom.
