Installation was fine, but there are too many flaws in the function of this device for me to recommend it, even it was free. I don't write reviews often, but I needed to share this.
The nozzle couldn't reach my partner's front, and the seat is too shallow that I can't tuck in my front when I sit. The nozzle couldn't reach my partner's front, and the seat is too shallow that I can't tuck in my front when I sit. The hardware at the back covers the back 25% of the bowl when I lift the seat, and when I lift the seat, it has a 50% chance of closing by itself. It causes all sitting to be forward-angled and the seat is flexible and doesn't feel properly secured even if you really crank on the plastic bolts.
A drying option might seem nice, but in effect, it wafts all the stink directly onto your person as you're sitting. If you've ever passed gas in the shower, you know what that's like.
Finally, on the second time I used this, the controls on the remote were unresponsive and the device had a mind of its own. I sat down and turned on the heated seat. Instead, mid-business the nozzle extended and it sprayed and ran the fan, and sprayed and retracted, and did not listen to my commands to stop on the remote. All this mid-use. I can only describe it as non-consensual. The remote was lit and beeped, and was working the day before - I had to fumble for the side controls so I could be released from it's continued spray. I thought I might be stuck there or have to pull the plug. It made a proper mess and a huge stink.
I would recommend against this one or others like it.
