We purchased our first Brondell about two years ago and now have them in all three bathrooms. We had an issue with the first one and sent it in for repair. Everyone at Brondell was very supportive and returned the bidet back fully repaired in just a couple days. We really like the new 1400 and several of our guests have asked for information. Class Product and Class Company to back it up.

The Brondell Swash 1400 is a great looking seat with clean lines. Towards the top of your picture, you can see the Brondell logo centered towards the rear of the unit

Above the logo, there are three LED lights. The first light tells you power is on. The second light is for the eco mode, and the third light is for the seat temperature – which tells you if the heated seat has been activated.
Scene 4 -
From this angle, you can see the electric cord and water supply hose connect to the left side of the unit. This is one of the differences when compared to the previous generation Swash 1000, which had the electric cord extending from the right.

Here’s a close-up view. You can see the new hidden pocket design for the electric cord and water supply hose, which makes the cordage look more discreet. The little white button next to the pocket, is a quick-release lever which unlatches the bidet from the mounting bracket.

From this angle, you can see how the lid of the Brondell Swash 1400 slopes down gently from back to front. You can also see a few buttons towards the rear of the unit, which can be used to operate the bidet without the remote control.

Here’s a close-up of the buttons. From left-to-right, you have buttons for Power, Rear Cleansing and Nozzle Cleaning. To the right of your picture, you can see the vents for the active carbon air deodorizer.

The most often used buttons like wash, stop and dry are located towards the top of the remote. The bottom of the remote now includes two new user preset buttons. This programs water temperature, water pressure, spray position, spray width, and oscillation settings for up to two people in your household.

Wash functions on the Brondell Swash 1400 are performed by twin, stainless steel wash nozzles. Here we demonstrate the feminine wash. Based on user feedback, the feminine nozzle is now longer than it was on the Swash 1000, and provides better forward reach for women.
Here comes the posterior wash nozzle. Both water pressure and water temperature can be adjusted.
Here we’re showing how you can adjust the position of the wash nozzle. You can adjust the nozzle more forward or more backwards to best suit your body.
You can also adjust the width of the spray. Watch the spray change from narrow to wide. Now we’ll set the spray back to narrow as it was before.
And finally, we demonstrate the move function. This oscillates the nozzle back and forth, extending the cleaning area.

A warm air dryer is built into the seat, which helps with residual moisture after washing.

The bidet also features a slow closing seat, and lid.

Another upgrade is the addition of a night light. Definitely handy to have when using the restoom in the middle of the night.

Additional features include an automatic self-cleaning function which rinses the nozzles with water before and after each use. There’s also a separate, on-demand nozzle sterilization feature. A one-touch “Auto” mode – starts a wash, oscillation, and dry cycle – all in one button.

Welcome to the Many Bidets review of the Brondell Swash 1400 bidet seat. In this review, we will talk about the Brondell Swash 1400 nozzles, and we will see them up close and personal as they're functioning. We will go over all the features offered by this Swash 1400 as well as take a look at the remote control and talk about how to operate the remote. Currently we're looking at the slow closing lid and seat offered by the Brondell Swash 1400. The lid and seat can be closed together or separately from one another, and the slow closing design keeps either from slamming at any point. It's also important to note that unlike most other bidet seats on the market today, the Brondell Swash 1400 offers a sittable lid so you can sit on the lid when you need a seat but you're not using the restroom. As you can see from our first nozzle shot, the Brondell Swash 1400 is a dual nozzle system. It uses one nozzle for the front wash, and another nozzle for the rear wash. We can also see that the swash 1400 offers multiple different spray width settings. You can have a narrow spray, or a wider spray as shown. The water dripping before and after a nozzle is used is the self-cleaning function running. This function runs in the back of the seat and the water used to clean the nozzle drips into the toilet bowl. Those new to bidet seats sometimes mistake this as the seat leaking. It is not leaking, it is simply running a self-cleaning process. The swash 1400 is packed full of features. The nozzles are adjustable to 7 different positions, which is the most of any bidet seat on the market to date. It also offers a instant water heater, which provides unlimited warm water for the entire wash, as well as allowing you to adjust the pressure of the wash for the most comfortable and thorough wash possible. The oscillating wash moves the nozzle back and forth to cover a wider area. Couple this with the wide nozzle stream and you have extreme coverage whenever you need it. Similar to other bidet seats on the market today, the wash is aerated. Aeration is the infusion of small air bubbles into the water stream. This offers a softer, and more effective wash than a non aerated stream. As we can see from our video, the nozzles are stainless steel, which helps to deter bacterial build-up at all times. The swash 1400 also comes with a seat sensor. This seat sensor picks up on if the seat is occupied or not, and only allows the wash to run if someone is seated on the swash. Here at the end we can see the self-cleaning process running once again. The wash automatically turns off after a set period, or you can press the stop button. If you press the bry button, the nozzle will retract and the dryer will start. The temperature of the dry is also adjustable. When not in use, a small door covers the dryer for sanitary reasons. The swash 1400 is one of only a few that offers nozzle sterilization. At the press of a button, water that's sterilized with silvernano technology runs over both nozzles, as the nozzles move in and out. Next we'll be looking at the remote control used with the swash 1400. As we can see here, we have both a remote control, and a wall mount. The wall mount can be attached anywhere using either screws, which are provided, or the self adhesive, depending on where you're looking to mount it. This wall mount uses a magnet to hold the remote in place. At the top of the remote we have the rear and front wash buttons, and in the middle of the remote we have spray width, seat temperature, and water temperature. While the remote for the swash 1400 doesn't have a screen, we can see feedback based on the LED lights. The plus and minus buttons adjust the water pressure while the wash is being run, and the dry temperature while the air dryer is running. For either the front or rear wash the nozzle position arrows move the nozzle forward or backwards. Both front and rear wash have 7 different nozzle positions to choose from. The Brondell Swash 1400 is a luxury class bidet seat that’s loaded with high end features and a low profile design. It offers endless warm water, a cool blue LED nightlight, dual stainless steel nozzle, and much more.
The Swash 1400 is Brondell’s latest flagship model, an update over the previous Swash 1000 model. It has an elegant form with a new hidden pocket that helps conceal the power cord and water supply hose from sight.
Its lid has a nicely contoured design that makes it fully sittable up to 300lbs. Brondell also updated the Swash 1400 with a cool blue LED night light, which provides a soft glow inside the toilet bowl.
The seat and lid are slow closing to prevent slams. Simply push them forward and they will softly close on their own.
Other updates to the Swash 1400 include a farther reaching front feminine nozzle, the ability to save user presets on the remote control, and additional internal improvements.
On the right side of the seat, you’ll see the 1400’s pocket for the water supply hose and electrical cord. The seat release button is also visible.
On the left, you’ll see a replaceable deodorizer and the auxiliary control panel
The Brondell Swash 1400 has a rear wash and a front feminine wash. Unique to Brondell, you can also adjust the width of the spray with 3 different settings.
Each of the wash functions can be modified with oscillation. Other adjustments like the user presets, nozzle sterilization, heated seat, and auto “wash n dry” can be done on the remote.
Standard installation parts are included with the seat.
First, we see the regular rear wash in action.
The nozzle position is adjustable in all wash functions and can also oscillate back and forth.
Here we see the various spray width settings from narrow to wide. Next, we see the front feminine wash coming from a separate nozzle.
Lastly, we demonstrate the warm air dryer blowing from its vent.

Today we're going to talk about reasons to buy the Swash 1400, by Brondell. My name is Daniel Johnson and I'm your bidet expert and owner of manybidets.com, where we've sold over 10,000 bidets, in the past eight years.
There's a lot of reasons to buy the Swash 1400. The first reason why the Swash 1400, by Brondell might be the perfect seat for you, is the fact that it gives you a lot for the price point. It's in the middle range, as far as price is concerned, but it offers a lot of high-end features. You're going to get the unlimited warm water, you're going to get the nozzle sterilization, you're going to get the sittable lid, the user presets and much much more. Some of these features might seem a little bit less impressive, like the sittable lid, but these features are features that not many bidet seats have and you get all of them with the Swash 1400 and at a reasonable price.
The second reason the Swash 1400 might be the perfect seat for you, is the fact that it offers a lot of different customization options. Most bidet seats on the market come in white only and some bidet seats come in elongated only as well. With the Swash 1400 you can choose between elongated or round, you can also choose between white or biscuit. You have a lot of different options to choose between, allowing you to get exactly what you need, regardless of your needs.
The third reason why the Swash 1400 might be the perfect seat for you, is its extended warranty option. By default, it comes with a three-year limited warranty, but that can be upgraded to a five-year full warranty, at a minimal additional cost. In this five-year full warranty, Brondell also covers shipping costs both ways if it needs to be sent in for repair and so it's a great additional value that can be added to your order.
Reason number four, the Swash 1400 offers multiple spray widths. Most seats on the market offer one spray width and a variety of features tied to that spray width. While the Swash 1400 offers lots of features, it also offers a normal, wider and widest spray width setting. Allowing you to get a lot of coverage, in a scenario where that would be helpful.
Reason number five, the Swash 1400 has a little pocket on the side of the seat, where both the water supply and the cord come out of. Allowing it to be a little bit more hidden, a little bit more sleek and a little bit more classy than a lot of its competitors. Those cords can also be clipped together, so that you can hide them and tuck them away a little bit easier and keep them all together, so that it doesn't feel and look like cords are going everywhere.
One more bonus reason for you today. The mounting plate has little ridges in it, where the washers connect the mounting plate to the porcelain. This allows for that mounting plate to be a little bit tighter and a little bit more secure, than a lot of the alternatives to the Swash 1400. While we didn't feel like this warranted a spot in the top five, it is a good reason to choose the Swash 1400 as a bidet seat, if you're looking for a sturdy setup.
