Totally fantastic

There are products you will come across in life that sometimes surprise you in a good way. This is one of them. Can’t go back now. The product heats well and does an excellent job and is good at staying clean. No issues with installation and high marks on ease of use.

Toto C5 Elongated Washlet+ has 2 models, be aware.

We have been using water bidets for more than 30 years. Our cold water units have proven to be effective, reliable and practical. We have been using water bidets for more than 30 years. Our cold water units have proven to be effective, reliable and practical. Time to upgrade since we also changed our 3 toilets to one-piece units from Toto. The Toto Washlet+ C5 is in a class of its own. The functionality is superb, providing selectable temperature and water flow options, as well as a gentle feminine spray for the ladies. All in all, a 5-star product. But some things should be pointed out, although are not cause for a lesser rating. 1) the toilet seat being the "chair height" option is fine, but if you add the Washlet unit, which in itself is rather tall, the whole combo may become uncomfortably high for some people. Just take your measurements before buying. 2) The rear washing spray could be one or two steps of more powerful. Again, it will be just fine for most people. 3) The timer option lets you decide on power savings turning off the heating unit(s) for none, 6 or 9 hours. I would have preferred an extra 12 hour option. There's also a auto energy saver that "learns" your schedule and adjusts the timer accordingly. 4) SW3084 is a standard WASHLET+ bidet seat, while SW3084T40 is specifically designed for and only works with TOTO's T40 series WASHLET+ Ready toilets. The 3084T40 allows the water hose and cable to be tucked behind the unit and completely out of site. I wish these two units were more clearly advertised to be able to make the better selection. Since I discovered the difference after installing the 3 units, I decided not to return them for an exchange and kept the original Washlets+. Conclusion: it is still a 5-star product.

A few handy items on installation: 1) watch some of the many videos on YouTube before installing. 2) if you have a rigid supply line to your toilet, spend a few bucks and get a new one that flexes. 3) when you are inserting the Washlet supply line into the T fitting supplied with the unit, you really have to push firmly on that line as you tighten it, or else you will get a small leak. Everything works well on the unit and it is easy to clean and remove. The unit also does not wiggle on the bolts, a fault others have pointed out. I strongly recommend a unit with a remote like this one. Side controls can be hard for those with low vision or in small spaces. The only thing I don’t like is the fact that the supply between the Washlet and toilet sticks out and looks ugly. It it were longer, I think it would be more flexible. It is a bit stiff, and I was afraid bending it would cause a break or leak at one of the ends. And now my husband wants to get one for us!

[Incentivized Review] Works well

This works really well for a non electric bidet. It was easy to install and looks like a regular toilet seat and lid when closed. It has two different spray options. It's easy to use. The only drawback is the the water is not heated. That takes some getting used to but otherwise it's great. Pros Durable, Easy to Use, Sturdy, High Quality, Easy to Install, Looks Great, Nice Design

Quiet and perfect for the elderly

We gave this Toto Washlet to our mother for her 93rd birthday in September. She loves it! We had a contractor friend install it properly so that it has its own outlet and upgraded fittings so there is less chance of leaks. We have the remote mounted on the wall just above the toilet paper roll. The washlet is quiet and the built in charcoal deodorizer does away with odors (and febreze). This washlet is perfect for the elderly.

This is the best bidet seat I've ever owned

The best bidet toilet seat I've owned so far. It is absolutely the best in every way. It's also very easy to install but you'll need a GFCI outlet nearby to plug it into. I had an electrician install one for when I first started buying these. This is my first Toto and what a difference! We couldn't be happier with the washing and drying performance. If you can believe it(I didn't until I experienced it) it has a filter that eliminates odor immediately. It's fully cleanable and servicable too. Amazing because It works like a charm!

[Incentivized Review] Best toilet upgrade

This is my first experience with a bidet. I was very skeptical about using a bidet at first as I wasn’t sure what to expect. This is a bathroom game changer. It a very pleasant experience with the heated water and seat functions. Plus you save money on toilet paper! I really like the soft close feature of the lid so it doesn’t slam shut. The seat was very easy to install. I was able to have it all hooked up and operating in about 15 minutes.

A MUST have, especially for seniors!

This is a MUST have! Every senior should have one. I'm not sure how we ever lived w/o this wonderful bidet. Heated seat, heated water + a dryer. Fits right on the toilet, hook up is a breeze and we put the remote control right on the vanity in the bathroom. Relatively little noise, very secure and also self-cleaning. Different settings that can be preset for individual use.
