Great item!

I liked this so much in my master bath that I bought one for my powder room when my I was forced to use it because my wife occupied the master bath. Guest are so impressed that several have bought based on their experience at our home. I ALWAYS use this thing when I’m at home!

Initial impressions good

Installation went okay; the included instructions could've been better and there was no video for the 4000e at the URL on the box. That said, I did figure it out (the weird rubber nuts that go in the toilet bolt holes- put them in through the top, squishing the bulb until it all fits through the bolt hole and rests on its flange). I also had to run to the hardware store for a longer supply line to connect the seat to the T connector (it's a normal 1/2" to 1/2" toilet supply) but other than that all went well. The water gets warm, seat gets warm, and dryer gets warm. We'll see how it holds up over time but it feels like it will last about as well as the various other cheaper bidet products I've tried over the past 10 years.

I love it!

I was on the fence about getting one of these for awhile but damn I'm glad I did. Cleaning is faster, better, and I use way less toilet paper now. Paper is used pretty much to dry and double check at this point. It comes with a water shut off / supply valve that you can adjust a little to get the water pressure to your liking. I do wish the flow control on the remote worked a little better and I didn't have to adjust the other way but it's not a big deal. Once you adjust the valve the way you like it you never have to mess with it again.
Love how it has a little air filter thing that turns on when you sit on it. It's just a great seat. I highly recommend upgrading your thrown. Install is pretty easy. You're gonna feel clean and have a smug look of superiority for awhile.

An easy button for the brown marker

Pros: Remote is intuitive. Water flow is more than adequate - the highest setting is a little rough so it is more than enough for me. Seat heat, soft close, and night light are nice. Easy install - took me about 10 minutes.
Helpful tips: It is going to look off-center from the back because I think they want to allow space to reach the flush handle, but the alignment of the front of the bidet is what matters. Helpful tips: It is going to look off-center from the back because I think they want to allow space to reach the flush handle, but the alignment of the front of the bidet is what matters. This is a high wattage appliance, so you need a dedicated GFCI circuit or else you might end up with flickering lights or throw a breaker when you are operating it. I haven't had time to install a dedicated circuit yet so I am just putting up with the minor inconvenience of a flickering bathroom fan light while I use the bidet.
Cons: A little hard to reach the flusher due to the size of the unit. Seat has to be pushed back twice and with some authority to stay raised. I'm not sure if it is magnetic or that double push is a built in feature but it is annoying when you are a dude who just want to pee. Dry feature isn't very powerful as others have mentioned. Personally, I dry with TP so this isn't a big deal.
Overall: Great bang for buck compared to other units. I have seen bidets that have the same features for double the price.
Update: 6 months, no issues. Love it.

Nice But A Bit Disappointed!
one startwo starsthree starsfour starsfive stars
First of all this is our first bidet. Easy to install. Fits perfectly on our toilet. Warm seats are a definite plus along w the night light. Appears to be well made. The remote is easy to operate.
Why the four stars? Well I was under the impression that once you have and use a bidet that the need for toilet paper would be a thing of the past.
Granted I only have had this bidet for a few days so perhaps I still need to play around w it but, that being said, I still find it necessary to use some toilet to complete clean oneself. Perhaps a double cleaning is necessary but for that reason I am given this a four star for now.

Low Pressure
one startwo starsthree starsfour starsfive stars
This is the first attempt at a heated unit. I have installed several non-heated units and have been satisfied with their performance and in FL the heater was not important to this point. My wife insisted on heat so here we go. Installation was easy. Features and controls were very easy to use. Unfortunately, pressure was way down to the point it was useless. I checked line pressure, which was good, and some other suggestions but couldn't get it up. Additionally, the aim of the spray was off to one side and could not be adjusted. Sent it back (thankyou Prime) and tried another brand with the same features and am quite satisfied.

Easy install - and "just works"

This isn't our first seat-bidet but it's our first Genie. I really like the installation hardware and compared to other models we have, the angle in the water hookup to the seat makes a unexpected HUGE difference. Our Swash had the water line go straight out and you always got a nice look at a foot or so of hose - in your face so to speak as you looked at the toilet. The water line is much less prominent with the Genie.

Getting used to a new remote was not easy. It looks like some features aren't fully functional. Such as the water pressure - it makes no different regardless of being all the way up or down. The air is also less hot than other models, but the bottom line is, it works just a bit slower. The movements are wider and longer than other models - after a few weeks, we're happy with the purchase.
My better half is really excited about the blue light at night. Never knew a simple LED light into the toilet bowl would make a difference. The light only comes on at night, and it looks like a UFO with the lid closed.
On the negative side, the remote doesn't seem to hold/save settings. Everything is back to defaults on subsequent visits. As mentioned, the "flow control" setting doesn't seem to do much of anything - everything beeps happy enough when you use it. The remote lights up the main buttons when active - but it doesn't light up the additional controls like massage and swipe.

We are new to the "Bidet Experience" I won't go into the details , but if you haven't tried one , you should ! the experience is pretty eye opening .

Ok on to the product review itself ... If you are handy and can do basic DYI around the house , then you should have no issues installing this . I will point out that some plumbing and electrical will be involved . Electrical maybe the biggest issue , luckily we had an outlet installed beneath our vanity to provide charging ports for our electronic hygiene items (flosser, shaver ,trimmer , etc) so it only required drilling an access hole for the cord to plug into . We also decided to purchase a different water connection valve . If you have a toilet that doesn't have the standard water fill valve on the bottom of the tank you will need to contact Genie Bidet for a replacement hose and they will provide you with a 3 way connector that will adapt to your water shut off valve . We didn't like the fact that it didn't have a shut valve for the seat . so we purchased a better valve from amazon ( YUHX Brass Angle Stop Add-A-Tee Valve for TOTO Washlet Bidet and Handheld Sprayer, 3/8 Inch Compression 3 Way Diverter Connector, 3/8"x3/8"x3/8" or 1/2" Toilet T Adapter ) This unit has everything you need to adapt your seat to the water shut off valve and you will still have a separate shut off for the water that goes to the seat , so you can remove the seat for cleaning or servicing !
Getting the remote open for battery installation IS a little hard , use a butter knife and be careful you don't hurt yourself or the remote. also the wall mount was a little tricky to assemble double check that you have it correctly together . I think people that claim the remote can fall off are not assembling it properly because our remote sticks to the magnet just fine !
And last tip don't tighten the seat mounting bolts too tight until you try fitting the seat to the bracket and adjusting it to the Bowl . it will make life easy to fine tune the seat to the bowl !
Good luck and if you get one of these , Happy Bideting !!
