thumbs up
Lever/dial offers easy, fine-tuned pressure adjustment.

High setting usually strong enough; users call it “just right”.
thumbs down
Maximum pressure feels weak; insufficient cleaning for many.

Easy installation and comfortable Performance

Most impressed by the ease of installation, the other brand I used in the other 2 bathrooms were a little difficult. Not surprisingly in this price point we have a vinyl hose and plastic connections internallyand externally, hopefully they last. Very comfortable seat and the water pressure is just right. Recommended!

Good Quality Materials, Poor Wash Power

Good quality. Easy installation. Quiet auto closing seat and lid work great. BUT the butt wash water pressure is too weak to fully clean me, even on the highest setting. The seat this one replaced had great water pressure and got me clean as a whistle. Sadly, not this one. So, after a few days of using lots of water to not get fully clean, and using way more wipes and toilet paper than should necessary with a bidet seat, I’m replacing this one.

[Incentivized Review] Best Bathroom Addition!

Received the product in the mail early afternoon, and had this Spalet bidet seat installed within about 45 minutes after it was delivered. Excellent instructions to guide you for the install. It isn't bulky at all, and looks fine even with the added connections for the water supply. I was a little concerned about the water pressure, but did not have any difficulty with that, as there are two settings, low and high. I like the heated seat and the added night lite. I would have loved having this seat after the birth of my kids years ago, as it is very soothing, and would be perfect for treating that area. I am very happy with this item, and look forward to seeing how well it lasts!

Great Bidet And Can Possibly Work On Round Toilet

We own two of these and have been pleased. We also have a Toto in our master bath. While the AS has fewer features it has the ones we prefer and has a larger stream of water. We took a chance and installed a second American Standard on our round toilet (Kohler Memories) in our cottage. The bowl shape doesn’t line up perfectly but it fits. (See photos) If American Standard ever makes a round version of this bidet we’ll swap this one out but in the mean time we’re happy to make this one work.

The seat was incredibly easy to install, I replaced the old one in about 30 minutes. The seat was incredibly easy to install, I replaced the old one in about 30 minutes. All of the required hardware is included, all you need is a screwdriver and (maybe) an adjustable wrench (don’t overtighten). It is important to note that you do need to have an electrical outlet nearby. I installed a new one a few weeks ago knowing that I was getting this. The seat itself is comfortable, but you do lose some sitting room and the opening is smaller compared to the regular toilet seat it replaced, because the back part of the seat that houses the electronics and such take up some of the space. It is also simple to use, there are two buttons on left that toggle through low, medium and off settings for the heated seat temperature and water temperature. The dial on the right controls the water flow and ‘aim’ (forwards for front, back for rear and center for ‘off’). The flow isn’t overpowering, but enough to get you clean, and the water warms almost instantly. The sprayer itself is contained when not it use and has a self cleaning system, while the exterior doesn’t appear to be any more difficult to clean than any other seat. It also has a light that automatically illuminates for nighttime visits. My only complaint would be that the cord could be a little longer. I was able to reach mine on the opposite side, but an extra foot or two would’ve been nice so I could tuck it away better. In summary, it may seem a little expensive at first, but when you consider what you pay for a night or two at a fancy hotel compared to something like this that will last you for years of use, I think it is totally worth it. It will also save you money on toilet paper (although you’ll still need some to dry off) and have less impact on your pipes and the environment. It will get you cleaner and the seat heater and warm water are an added comfort. Go ahead and get one…your posterior will thank you later.

I installed this in our master bathroom and we have used it for about a month now. Since my wife often uses flushable wipes, I got this in hopes of eliminating (or at least significantly decreasing) such usage since they can cause plumbing issues (i.e. clogs!). This was super easy to install...took less than 20 minutes. It comes with a cord that when plugged in heats the seat and the water, but you can also use it without plugging it in which is what we've been doing since we don't necessarily care about a heated seat and/or water. It has two directions of spray (a slightly forward direction and a rear [no pun intended!] direction). You simply use the dial/switch on the side to turn on the spray (move it forward for the front area and move it backward for the rear). It also has two flow settings (min, max) for each direction...so you can choose to spray a little or a lot depending on the situation. We absolutely LOVE this product!!! I wasn't sure how much I would actually use it when I got it but I think I use it more than my wife at this point! Lol It's just so easy and convenient to use. It's also self cleaning btw so now worries there, and the lids are self closing so no more accidentally "dropping" the toilet seat! I would definitely encourage people to check this product out. It's high quality and works flawlessly...and it will definitely eliminate or at least save on the use of flushable wipes!!! :) Totally worth it. Thinking about actually getting one for my parents since we love it so much.

We have had the AquaWash 2.0 SpaLet Electric Bidet Seat for Elongated Toilet for about a month now. We have had the AquaWash 2.0 SpaLet Electric Bidet Seat for Elongated Toilet for about a month now. This is our first bidet experience so we can not compare to any other kind of bidet, but we are very impressed with American Standard's attention to detail. The seat is comfortable, all the features are easy to access, and the wands work perfectly. First, we recommend you look at the videos from American Standard. We find they are true to the product. We thought it looked like there was not much room in the seat opening because the wands are stored in the back, but that is not a problem at all. It is very comfy. The seat is not cold at all during the warmer months, but we tried the heater quiet a bit in the first few days and it works very well. We do not see a need for the remotes that come with other bidets. Adjusting the temp of both the seat and the water is very easy to do while sitting. The water is heated, but it will take a second or two after the water begins to get warm. The dial to select which wand to use and the pressure of the water is all in one and is also super easy to reach and turn. There is a sensor on the left side of the seat and as soon as pressure is applied there is a rush of water that rinses the wand area. If you have someone who sits every time they do anything in the bathroom it will use water and we do wonder if this is going to effect the water bill. Sliding the seat off for cleaning and cleaning the wands is really easy as well. Again, attention to detail was not missed. Installation was pretty easy and only took about 30 minutes. All that was needed in our situation was a crescent wrench. Don't forget you need an electrical outlet next to your toilet. The night light is a nice bonus. It is a very subtle shade of blue. Not at all intrusive to your eyes in a dark room. It would be nice if there was a way to turn it off in the day or have a night sensor. If you are looking for a bidet and not interested in replacing your entire toilet you can not go wrong with the AquaWash 2.0 SpaLet Bidet Seat. Seriously.

While not my first experience with bidets, this is the first one I was allowed in the house. While leaps and bounds better than the basic bolt on cleaners spraying cold water it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of higher end bidets with remotes, natural sounds and driers. Still at half the price of top shelf units this ended up being a fantastic buy for comfortable freshness. Overall I'm impressed with the Aquawash. It's easy to install with the supplied bracket, provides great cleaning, includes intuitive controls, comes off with the push of a button for cleaning and adds additional creature comforts (heated seat/water and lighted bowl). One thing I'll add as a pro vs other reviews - I like the chime while it's operating. As a father of small children it's an added safety net - though they're good at turning it off. There's a lot to talk about so let's break this down into a few parts: Installation: Getting the old seat out was the larger challenge. Once removed the new seat went in easily with two rubber inserts going through the seat mounting holes on the toilet which secured the mounting bracket with two bolts/washers. To align the seat I 1.) Left the bolts a little loose 2.) Clicked on the seat 3.) Moved it to where I wanted 4.) Used the one button release to remove the seat 5.) Tightened the bolts For the plumbing you simply remove the connection to your toilet bowl then connect the provided splitter and hoses. My only caution (and critique) is the fittings are regrettably plastic. Make sure you're not cross threading them when they go on. Otherwise just enough pressure to seal then another 1/4 turn was my approach. Review of the seat. Creature comforts - This is one of the benefits of a full seat based unit vs the bolt on sprayers - added comforts. There are two buttons on the left side controlling heated water and seat. Press once for low heat, press again for higher heat and press one more time to turn them off. Each setting is displayed by an led off (off), low heat (dimmer light), high heat (brighter light). Sitting on the toilet runs the water to ensure the system is primed with warmed water when you need it. Easy of use - The dial is illuminated (as is the bowl) sufficiently for night operations without messing up night vision. The control itself is very simple turn the knob forward to activate front cleaning and to the rear for the other cleaning. The more you turn the dial the greater the pressure. Easy of cleaning - On the right hand side simply press a button and the toilet seat slides off. Clean where you will and you can also activate the toilet while aiming it at the bowl to clean the nozzles. The supplied hose is a little long to make this easier which I didn't realize as a pro until the first time I cleaned the bathroom Intuitive design - There's not much more to be said than my 5 year old daughter figured this out on her own before I even told her there was a new toilet seat, let alone a bidet. She even turned on the heated seat and made sure the water was off before leaving it. Here are my high level takeaways Pros: 1.) Loaded with features at a great price point 2.) Intuitive design 3.) Great creature comforts (winter is coming) 4.) Easy install - Took about 10 minutes 5.) Illumination for night time utilization Cons: 1.) Plastic fittings - I can/will replace the splitter but the lack of a metal connection to the unit is the only part I found disappointing

[Incentivized Review] Best Bidet I've bought For Our Family

I bought this bidet for my family. It took me 25 Minutes to install it. I ran a plug in box off of one on the other side of the bathroom wall, put in GFI Plug in. Hooking up the water lines were easy and simple as long as you were careful not to cross thread the fittings. We love the water pressure that's adjustable. The heated seat is great. The built in night light is wonderful at night. My wife couldn't be happier ! The water is heated also. It fit the top of our toilet perfect and the push button removal for cleaning is simple and easy to use. I would definitely buy this bidet again.

Easy Install

I already had an American Standard toilet so when I saw they made a seat specific to their product I decided to try it instead of Bio Bidet. I'm a 70 year old lady who lives alone and didn't want to pay a plumber. Lucky for me, I didn't need to. Instructions along with the video proved to be all I needed. Everything hooked up, with no leaks and the plate lined up well and I am proud of myself for the accomplishment. The only thing that I didn't know was that the plug is on the right side if you're facing the toilet and my outlet is on the left side, so I'll have another outlet installed. meanwhile I had to carry it over the back of the toilet to plug it in. I love the night light, the warm water and the various water pressure controls. I think I'm going to enjoy it so much that I won't ever be without one. Love it!
