The seat was incredibly easy to install, I replaced the old one in about 30 minutes. All of the required hardware is included, all you need is a screwdriver and (maybe) an adjustable wrench (don’t overtighten). The seat was incredibly easy to install, I replaced the old one in about 30 minutes. All of the required hardware is included, all you need is a screwdriver and (maybe) an adjustable wrench (don’t overtighten). It is important to note that you do need to have an electrical outlet nearby. I installed a new one a few weeks ago knowing that I was getting this. The seat itself is comfortable, but you do lose some sitting room and the opening is smaller compared to the regular toilet seat it replaced, because the back part of the seat that houses the electronics and such take up some of the space. It is also simple to use, there are two buttons on left that toggle through low, medium and off settings for the heated seat temperature and water temperature. The dial on the right controls the water flow and ‘aim’ (forwards for front, back for rear and center for ‘off’). The flow isn’t overpowering, but enough to get you clean, and the water warms almost instantly. The sprayer itself is contained when not it use and has a self cleaning system, while the exterior doesn’t appear to be any more difficult to clean than any other seat. It also has a light that automatically illuminates for nighttime visits. My only complaint would be that the cord could be a little longer. I was able to reach mine on the opposite side, but an extra foot or two would’ve been nice so I could tuck it away better. In summary, it may seem a little expensive at first, but when you consider what you pay for a night or two at a fancy hotel compared to something like this that will last you for years of use, I think it is totally worth it. It will also save you money on toilet paper (although you’ll still need some to dry off) and have less impact on your pipes and the environment. It will get you cleaner and the seat heater and warm water are an added comfort. Go ahead and get one…your posterior will thank you later.

This is the second bidet that I own, and I have to say that, right from the get go, I am not impressed with the AquaWash 2.0 SpaLet. Most of my problems were in the installation, but I do have two other issues that are bringing the rating of this bidet down to a solid 3.0. First, installation: The seat uses a base plate with two sliding plates for each hole on the toilet. This is just how my other bidet attaches as well, as the electronics and water works for the bidet sit directly above the bolts. I don't think I've ever had so much difficulty getting a seat lined up properly. The sliding plates slide around, the base plate slides around and all in all it was rather tiring and took about 20 minutes just to get this thing situated in the right spot. However, the real issues started with the hose and the attachments. The included hose is stiff as a brick and the compression connectors at either end might as well be coated in oil. I don't know why AquaWash couldn't use thumbscrews like every other connection to a toilet. The instructions do not say if you should use a wrench, but I was forced to as there was simply no way to tighten the connectors. Once I had them on there, I realized I had made a mistake... both of the connectors had cross-threaded and were sitting crooked. I took them off, and realized just how cheaply made this product is: the hose connections on the T adapter and the bidet itself are plastic, and because of the cross-threading, where now damaged. Shaking my head, I re-connected the hoses very slowly, using as little torque with the wrench as possible and pulling very hard on the hose to get it align straight. I was successful in threading the second time, but this issue would not have arisen if the hose was more limber or the connectors were a higher quality plastic. Second, Use: I discovered that the electrical cord for the bidet was 1" too short to reach the outlet... forcing me to run it up and over the toilet instead of down and under and out of the way. It looks terrible. The other issue I have, and this very well maybe the end of this bidet: it emits a very high pitched beep when in use that continues to ring until it's turned back off. It is very irritating, but only comes on sometimes. Occasionally it just beeps a single chime and that's it. Last, in closing: I am so far not impressed with this bidet. I will use it for a short while, as it does appear to give decent pressure and leaves you "feeling fresh". However, I'm not sure its worth the eye sore of the dangling power cord, or the headache of the beeping. It does have pressure control for the water, seat heat and water heat.
