I've never used a bidet before but heard a lot of good and bad things about it. I'm really happy with this model. I don't mind the cold water one bit, it's a very good way to wake up in the morning. I feel much cleaner every time I use the bidet. Its much better and more efficient than just toilet paper. It took me 10 minutes to install it and a few days to get used to the angle of water. 10 stars and a perfect gift for anyone moving into a new home.

[Incentivized Review] Best Bathroom Addition!

Received the product in the mail early afternoon, and had this Spalet bidet seat installed within about 45 minutes after it was delivered. Excellent instructions to guide you for the install. It isn't bulky at all, and looks fine even with the added connections for the water supply. I was a little concerned about the water pressure, but did not have any difficulty with that, as there are two settings, low and high.
I like the heated seat and the added night lite. I would have loved having this seat after the birth of my kids years ago, as it is very soothing, and would be perfect for treating that area. I am very happy with this item, and look forward to seeing how well it lasts!

Love This

Having been a toilet paper user for 49 years (minus the 2 'wipes' years as a baby) this is a welcome change. I've only had it since last night but (butt) I can see this being a game changer. While this may not completely eliminate the need for toilet paper it's certainly going to decrease the amount used. In this day and time where TP is hoarded this will be incredibly helpful.

It'll take time to get used to a cool blast of water aimed at your rectum/anus? I don't which one it is. The strength of the spray is adjustable as you turn the dial. That's important since at full power you're going to be feeling this all the way into your colon. Next, it actually feels good and I mean in a sort of satisfying way. I've never had a rectal exam at a urologist office that warranted me to welcome the experience. Right now I'm looking forward to my next poop.
As I said, the spray can be really strong which actually creates a bit of a splash or "dew" that settles right behind me on the top surface of the toilet seat. I supposed if I rode it back far enough that wouldn't likely happen. I just placed a hand towel on the top of the toilet water basin and intend to do a quick wipe after each visit to the toilet. Will likely change that out every few days. I wouldn't consider this a hygiene issue since the typical use of no cleaning between toilet visits is certainly not a better alternative and I'd be shocked if anyone "cleans" the toilet seat after each use.
Being a man I have no need to clean my front so I have no personal experience with that function. All I know is when you aim for the front (turn dial left instead of right) you can tell that the angle of the spray adjusts in that direction. My wife said when she tried it last night it wasn't really aimed in the right direction. I told her to try adjusting her seated position and she said it worked well. I guess she's been sitting incorrectly on the toilet for 49 years.
In conclusion this seems to be great product and I'm going to order two more for the other bathrooms in the house.

Bidets are used by millions of folks throughout the world as a standard for toilets. COVID has made the toilet paper supply not as available as before. We (the U.S.) need to find alternatives to the huge amount of toilet paper we consume, and the bidet is a viable alternative.

A complete unit with a built-in bidet can be quite expensive. I researched a lot of these add-on bidet devices to find one that was not expensive, and would be durable, easy to use and install, and still perform as expected.
Installation was pretty straight forward, but was difficult for me because of the cramped space in a small bathroom and the fact that I'm 67. It took me about 15 minutes from start to finish to install the unit. That was pretty quick considering all the things that could go wrong.
Read the instructions to be certain you understand the process before you ever start. It's difficult to be reading instructions while you are performing the installation. Connection to the toilet tank went smoothly.
Connection nozzle on the device is on the underside of the unit, so you cannot easily view the connection unless getting down on the floor. When connecting the water line to the device, have patience to be certain you haven't cross-threaded and that the connection has been screwed all the way for secure seal. On my first attempt, there was a bit of leaking from the joint on the unit until I got the connection screwed in completely.
There was a chance to try it out soon after I completed the installation. The unit worked as intended and I was clean without using any toilet paper except to dry off. I recommend drying off before standing to be sure you don't have unwanted residue that might get on the bathroom floor.
This is a bare-basics unit with manual control (no electronics) and only cold water connection, and is affordable to everyone. I would highly recommend it.
You can spend more to have the inclusion of heated water; however, the more working parts you have involved, the more things can go wrong. Hope this will help if you are on the fence about whether to try out a bidet.

AquaWash 2.0 SpaLet Electric Bidet Seat for Elongated Toilet in White

AquaWash 2.0 SpaLet Electric Bidet Seat for Elongated Toilet in White
I have been using a standard mechanical bidet attachment to my regular toilet seat since I had hip surgery a few years ago. The inability to bend over during the recovery period after hip surgery (to avoid popping the new hip out of socket) came as quite the surprise to me. I mentioned to the surgeon that while in the hospital I was unable to wipe myself after using toilet. I have very short arms and legs and a long torso. As a little kid I couldn’t wipe myself the way my mom was teaching me. I just couldn’t reach. I wipe from the front, bending forward and being careful. After surgery I couldn’t bend. I found a tool online that had a long handle. That helped but wasn’t ideal. The add on bidet was perfect to make sure I was clean and then I used the tool to dry with.
I have continued to use the bidet add on and bought this fancy bidet seat for my master bathroom. It was 5 times more expensive. It plugged in to provide warm water instead of tap water temperature. I live in California so it wasn’t ever too cold for me at room temperature. I also don’t need the heated seat. Having to have an electrical plug close by is a problem. I have one but now I have a cord stretching across the wall next to the toilet. The night light is a nice feature.
Personally it has more bells and whistles than I needed but if you live somewhere very cold, the warm seat and water would be almost mandatory.
I will always have a bidet attachment wherever I live. For now I have one toilet with the attachment and the other with the fancy heated seat and water version. Time will tell which one I gravitate too most frequently when nature calls.

Got a few of these for my new home. Easy to setup and works as intended. The chill water may take some time to get used to, but it will leave your behind feeling fresh. The attachment raised my existing toilet seat too high and I had to get some sticky bumpers to even it out.

[Incentivized Review] Easy Install

Install time took 30 min which included removal of old toilet seat and cleaning the toilet. Tools needed was a screw driver and an adjustable wrench. Bidet works great and does NOT need power to function, however without power it will not have hot water, lighting features and heated seats. I wish the power cord was removable and batteries can be installed to have lighting features. Very little homes will have a power outlet near a toilet and it is costly to have one installed. I would be fine without heated seats and cold water works for me. Also I noticed the bidet wand area covers about 20% of the opening of the toilet. Final note the bowl lighting function is pretty cool, I really wish they was a way to light it with out plugging it in. Tip when installing the seat, do not tighten the mount all the way and install the seat; adjust the seat to the position wanted then use a dry erase marker to draw a line at the back of base. Take of the seat and align the mount to the line and fully tighten the screws. Note: I tried to add photos but kept getting error messages.
