The Non-Electric Bidet Toilet Seat offers a modern bathroom option but has significant drawbacks. It relies solely on water pressure, resulting in a cooler wash compared to electric models. Although it features dual, self-cleaning nozzles, users often find their performance lacking. The chrome dial for adjustments can be cumbersome, and the gentle-close seat may feel awkward. While marketed as easy to install, many users report confusion during setup. Though the adjustable water pressure is a plus, it may not satisfy everyone’s preferences. Ultimately, the Non-Electric Bidet Toilet Seat may fall short of delivering the expected luxury experience, raising concerns about its practicality for everyday use.

Best Economy Bidet Seat, Bar None!!

I am an owner of two Brondell bidet attachments that I have been quite happy with and was therefore thrilled when I received an email from Brondell the other day advertising this seat model for a low price of $98 if ordered directly from Brondell (an online discount of 30%). I was prepared to order it directly from Brondell until I discovered that Lowe's offered it for $8 less, and that's their regular price! That day, I drove out to my local Lowe's store to purchase it and installed it that evening, swapping out the bidet attachment. I had been heretofore disinterested in a seat with an integrated bidet as I did not find their typical sloped appearance appealing in the least. This model, however, looks like a regular toilet seat, with a flat profile and an unobtrusive adjustment knob. I was initially concerned that there might be issues with my Gerber toilet since it has a narrow rim and most replacement seats tend to slide while one is sitting on them (which is terribly annoying), but this seat has no such issue! In fact, IT'S THE BEST REPLACEMENT SEAT I HAVE EVER PURCHASED FOR MY GERBER TOILET!! It has been the easiest to install, it doesn't shift a bit under me, and the plastic is sturdy and the soft-close function works better than any other similar replacement seat I have owned (such as ones by Bemis). With regard to the bidet functionality, I am liking it even better than the bidet attachment I had before. Although I have no use for the feminine wash feature, the rear wash works better than the one in the bidet attachment - it's more targeted and therefore doesn't spray all over one's behind. I would imagine, moreover, that this bidet seat will be more sanitary as the nozzle is tucked into the portion of the seat over the mounting plate rather than suspended in front of the toilet rim (as is the case with Brondell's bidet attachments). The toilet will therefore be easier to clean as the nozzle component does not block any part of the rim. The bottom line is that this toilet seat with integrated bidet is extremely well-designed and is an incredible value. Brondell furthermore stands behind their products, and as a repeat purchaser, I've found that they only use high-quality parts such as their metal T-valve that I am confident will not fail on me. This is an outstanding investment, and I intend to replace the other Brondell bidet attachment in my second bathroom, as well.

Great bidet BUT.....

I do love the low profile of this bidet. It also does the job very well. I've had mine for 4 years installing it during covid because of the TP shortage. I wondered if the cold water would be too cold but it's not. My water lines are in the basement so the water coming out is room temp. I'm very happy with this seat. The only thing I have a complaint about is the on off knob. Mine has broken numerous times and it was like pulling teeth to get a replacement. After a few weeks, Brondell agreed to...

The only thing I have a complaint about is the on off knob. Mine has broken numerous times and it was like pulling teeth to get a replacement. After a few weeks, Brondell agreed to send a replacement. I did have to pay for it, which was fine. Just today, the replacement knob has broken also! I've glued it together yet again hoping it holds up but for how long. I can't see having to buy another bidet, just to get a new knob. Brondell, why not construct the knob out of metal rather than plastic. Also, why can't the knob be purchased easily as a replacement rather than having to contact you and go through hoops to get a new knob.

Summary

In conclusion, the Non-Electric Bidet Toilet Seat has notable drawbacks. Its lack of electrical features may result in inconsistent cleansing and discomfort during extended use. The performance of its dual, self-cleaning nozzles relies on water pressure, which can vary. While the chrome dial adds an intuitive touch, tech-savvy users may find it lacking. Installation is marketed as simple, but novices might encounter challenges. Although the gentle-close seat and lid enhance convenience, they may impact long-term durability. Despite a one-year warranty and US-based support, concerns about customer service reliability persist. Ultimately, this bidet may not meet the needs of those seeking an effective personal hygiene solution.
