Moen

Moen

Moen traces to inventor Alfred M. Moen, who in the late 1930s designed the single-handle mixing faucet; the first units were mass-produced in 1947. The company built its brand around kitchen and bath faucets and showering systems, expanding over subsequent decades into accessories and broader water-delivery hardware. Ownership shifted in the mid-20th century when Moen was acquired by Stanadyne, and later, in the late 1980s, by American Brands, which subsequently became Fortune Brands. Since 2011 Moen has operated within Fortune Brands Home & Security (renamed Fortune Brands Innovations in 2022). Headquartered in North Olmsted, Ohio, Moen today focuses on residential and commercial plumbing fixtures, adding digital water initiatives and, more recently, electronic bidet seats as part of its bathroom portfolio.
