Verdict
The PureWash® M250 Elongated manual bidet seat offers a practical, no-frills solution for enhancing bathroom hygiene with its adjustable water spray and easy-to-use manual controls. Its straightforward DIY installation, quick-release seat, and quiet-close lid contribute to user convenience and maintenance ease. While the cleansing performance is generally reliable, some users report inconsistent spray pressure and occasional leaks over time, which may affect long-term satisfaction. The absence of warm water, heated seat, and an air dryer limits comfort, especially in colder seasons, though the cold spray remains acceptable to many. Overall, this model delivers solid basic functionality and ease of use but may fall short for those seeking advanced features or enhanced comfort options.

[Incentivized Review] Comfortable and effective

This bidet has a very comfortable seat and an effective, cleansing spray. The control handle is easy to use and does a very good job regulating the water pressure and adjusting its aim by twisting and rotating the handle. Included are three nozzle tips for various spray patterns that are easily interchangeable. Just pull it off and push on another one. The design of this bidet allows for a full sized, nicely contoured seat, whereas many others have a smaller seat due to their mechanisms, like the one I have in my other bathroom. Its seat is a full inch shorter and it is not as comfortable. Both the seat and the lid have a catch in the hinge that keeps them open when you swing them fully up. You must give either one a slight tug forward when you want them to close and then they will slowly, silently descend. I recommend you insert a rubber cone washer into the connector of the T-valve when fastening it to the commode tank. I could not keep it from leaking there until I did. Otherwise, the installation was rather simple with the very well written instructions that were in clear English. Note that the directions are geared toward installing this on a brand new commode and don't mention when installing to an existing one, you need to drain the tank first. The simplicity of this bidet is that it works only off of water pressure and no batteries or electricity is needed. Performance is comparable to others costing hundreds more. There's no need to pay big bucks to have a touch of luxury in your bath!
[Incentivized Review] Great solution without re-plumbing
A very effective and cost efficient way to create a Bidet. With both the water flow adjustment and the position adjustment you can get the cleansing stream to work well for your body style. Three different nozzles may be installed. These nozzles change the intensity of the cleansing stream -- Soft, Medium, and Intense. It looks and feels like a normal toilet seat. The handle on the side of the seat controls the water flow adjustment and the cleansing stream intensity. This functionality is easy...
This functionality is easy to use by twisting the handle and pushing the handle up and down. The installation is a straight process It is like putting a new toilet seat. In this situation, a new cable and T-valve is installed. The T-valve connects to the toilet’s supply line so that water goes both to the bowl and to the cleansing spray which is in the seat. The one problem we had was stripping threads on the fill valve connection to the water supply. There was a warning to be careful not to cross thread but T-valve is metal and the end of the fill valve is plastic. This makes it very easy the cross thread the connector and cause a leaking point. So, I’ll add my warning to you - be VERY careful when attaching the T-valve to the fill valve. Just remember that this is only a COLD water supply so you could get a real wakeup call during the winter – at least at our house the cold water is very cold in the winter. Other than the cold, this is a very good solution to get a bidet without re-plumbing the house!
Great product, but ships with wrong bracket and washers
This is my second purchase of this bidet seat...however the latest one I received has numerous problems. The bracket mount holes don't align with the holes in the toilet base (major flaw) AND the washers provided, are too small and slip right through the bracket mount. WHO IS DOING QUALITY CONTROL AT KOHLER?!? Now I have to sit a wait while someone resolves the issue...and I have no confidence that a replacement won't have the same issues. This clearly is a manufacturing issue with the brackets. Be wary of the parts and pieces being shipped with this product. Also buy and different t-mount...the one supplied leaks since it's metal and doesn't seal correctly with the plastic threads on the tank.
Wide one piece toilet - this was a fairly easy modification to make it work
No products seem to work with the wide one piece toilets. They all come too close tot he side curves. But Answers on Amazon said this model would work with my wide, swooping design Kohler San Martine one-piece toilet. It did not. The wide hips of the tank portion prevented it from fitting, but just by a bit, so I modified the installation by mounting the mounting plate onto a 3/4" thick rectangle of plastic that let me raise the seat 3/4" and move it forward about 3/4". The connecting hose had to be used in reverse because the toilet is too wide to leave room for the "L" shaped hose end to connect to the the seat. (The diagrams were also not so clear on that...too many of the catalogue pictures avoid showing it actually connected to plumbing) The inside of the seat opening is just 1/8" clear of the inside of the bowl front, but it works.
