(Incentivized Review) Incredible Luxury, Technology, Ease & Efficiency
With lots of buzz about modern seat bidets, I was curious about this product. I've really been impressed with this unit. It adds an incredible luxury to our onsuite bathroom. With lots of buzz about modern seat bidets, I was curious about this product. I've really been impressed with this unit. It adds an incredible luxury to our onsuite bathroom. I didn't consider American Standard to be a high tech company, but this seat is incredibly advanced, and likely shares lots of tech with Japanese designs. Install was very easy, taking 10 mins. The only sticking point was getting the seat grommets in place, my toilet had undersized holes. Using a screwdriver and pushing from inside of the grommet was the solution. In terms of features, this thing solves lots of discomforts. It's seat is always warm, with 5 way adjustable temp setting. It has an odor filter with fan, and removes unpleasant smells. It has front and rear water cleansing, with 5 way spray pressure, temperature and position adjustments. Self cleaning for spray arms. There's no maintenance at all. It keeps 0.88L of water stored inside at the prefect temp, and can recover the temperature after just 3 minutes. It features an Eco mode that turns off heat over night for 8 hours, while sleeping to save energy. I was worried that keeping the seat and water hot all day was going to make this expensive to run, however when tracking the power usage, I was delighted to find it uses under 0.4 KWh per day, this works out to just 6 cents per day, $1.8 per month or $21.90 per year. Let me tell you, it'll be the best 6 cents per day you'll ever spend. My wife doesn't love the look, as its pretty large and chunky. but for our onsuite, it doesn't matter how large it looks. I've told my friends and family about it, and for me its a game changer. Plus, it'll pay for itself eventually with the savings in toilet paper.

Having owned a bidet in the past, I have been curious about these new units that just attach by replacing your toilet seat, instead of having to add plumbing for a separate fixture ($$$$) This thing is a great idea and a beautiful addition to my bath area. Having owned a bidet in the past, I have been curious about these new units that just attach by replacing your toilet seat, instead of having to add plumbing for a separate fixture ($$$$) This thing is a great idea and a beautiful addition to my bath area. It has so many features that I cannot cover all of the things I like about it. First, it is sleek and attractive. The side panel that controls the features is attractive and the slow open and close lid is perfect to avoid slamming lids. The heated seat and water (with adjustable temp settings) is great and so comfortable. The water pressure is adjustable with three settings (can be changed to 5) and does a thorough job (I'm going to leave that there rather than be too graphic) There is even an air deodorizer that starts when you sit down and continues for a bit after you get up. There are separate controls for regular cleaning and female cleaning. The nozzle can be adjusted for just the right spot(s). The other thing I think is amazing is the massage feature which causes the water to pulse. And there are air and water filters inline and under the seat that can be cleaned and replaced when issues occur from mineral deposits or the air filter becomes ineffective. I can honestly not say enough nice things about this unit. If I had to say anything "bad" it would be that it is time consuming to install and the instructions are a little confusing. My unit leaked until I realized the issue and fixed it. It was an easy fix. I think I am going to love this thing even more over time.
(Incentivized Review) Like it... but it’s clunky looking
We have been using this for a couple weeks and and enjoying it so far. My partner really wanted one and I was skeptical, but it’s growing on me. Install was pretty easy, around 45 minutes with removing the old seat. The only snag I ran into was that my water shut off was highly corroded and needed to be replaced. You’ll also need a gfi plug near your toilet to power the seat. As for the seat, the heated seat function is quite nice in the winter. The water that comes out of the jets is also heated with three different levels of force and temperature. I’m not super keen on the looks of it, and would be hesitant to install if it was visible from the door. Overall we do like the seat, but you have to get past the looks
