Exactly what I needed
While visiting Japan, I was introduced to the bidets. After returning home, I got Covid and coughed my head off resulting in a not-so-fun hemorrhoid surgery. The worst surgery of all time, but the point is, I knew I needed a bidet in my home since recovery is super slow and it will help with future prevention of repeating issues. The worst surgery of all time, but the point is, I knew I needed a bidet in my home since recovery is super slow and it will help with future prevention of repeating issues. I didn’t want to spend $2k or more on the entire setup so this product was the answer. I paid a bit more for this bidet because of the self-cleaning feature, but this was more than worth it to me. This was super easy to install! There are only a couple of steps and wah-lah, it’s complete. All of the features are practical and useful. I have not found a single feature that doesn’t work as it should. No need to hire a company to install this. If you know how to cut off your home’s water supply then you can do this!
Wishing and cleaning
This one is very good, the temperature and the pressure…I use another brand one before, but find this Kohler one is much more suitable for my family!
Exactly what I was looking for.
Just installed it today and couldn’t wait to try it out! This seat is exactly what I hoped for in terms of the features. The only issue for me is that I have a round toilet and the opening of the seating is smaller than regular seat. Despite that it works just fine and does its job.
Owner-installed C3-155 Bidet Toilet Seat
This bidet toilet seat is a great update to our bathroom. The installation of the seat is fast and straight forward and the bidet components work as advertised. The hard part of the installation has nothing to do with the bidet seat, itself. I tried installing a 15-amp outlet next to the toilet by tapping into a receptacle in an adjacent bedroom. This worked but I discovered that the circuit I used also had an exhaust fan and two 320-watt lights that are located in the master bath two rooms away...
This bidet toilet seat is a great update to our bathroom. The installation of the seat is fast and straight forward and the bidet components work as advertised. The hard part of the installation has nothing to do with the bidet seat, itself. I tried installing a 15-amp outlet next to the toilet by tapping into a receptacle in an adjacent bedroom. This worked but I discovered that the circuit I used also had an exhaust fan and two 320-watt lights that are located in the master bath two rooms away. The master bath and the bathroom with the new bidet seat, share three GFI-protected 20-amp outlets. I removed the newly installed cable from the 15-amp circuit and tapped into the GFI load cable (not the GFI line cable), creating a 4th 20-amp GFI protected outlet next to the toilet with the new bidet seat. This 2nd configuration works and the lights in the master bath are no longer blinking. I have a lot of experience with home electrical systems so I felt comfortable adding an outlet next to the toilet in the aforementioned bathroom. I also have experience with water supply connections and had no trouble modifying the water supply connection to the toilet to accommodate the water inlet for the bidet seat. The electrical work took place in the attic over a period of days and the plumbing part took about one hour. The bidet seat installation took about 20 minutes. I think a dedicated 15-amp circuit would have worked fine assuming that no other circuits would be added in the future. If you are adding a new circuit coming from the electrical panel, it would be advisable to add a dedicated 20-amp GFI circuit. With respect to the bidet seat installation, the instructions are slightly misleading where it says to slide the seat towards the attachment bracket. The bracket has a "lip" that the seat must ride over to drop, and then snap, into place. I found that you can slide the seat until there is contact with the bracket and then slightly lift the seat over the lip and use a gentle downward force to snap the seat into place. I also found that while attempting to slide the seat into its bracket, one side would connect but not the other. In this case, the seat was floating above the edge of the toilet bowl on the unconnected side. I thought it best not to try to force the unconnected side into place but to reverse the process and try again. I found that removing the seat for cleaning works exactly as indicated by the instructions.
