Inspect for hidden damage as soon as you get it
The product arrived with the plastic arm holding the controls cracked, but I did not realize it was cracked until installing it six months after delivery (the electrician was backed up and is just now getting to putting in the outlet by the toilet). It’s too late to return it, and the crack doesn’t affect its operation, so I guess I am going to live with it until the arm falls off completely. There was no visible damage to the box it came in. This plastic part is a weak spot in the design and probably cracked when an entire pallet of these was dropped during shipping.

On the whole, I love this bidet. everything works as it should and the installation was fairly smooth. The challenge with us is that you have to take the seat off to do a good cleaning once a month. This includes taking the lid off of the seat. Unfortunately, you have to kind of pry and twist the lid off and then back on, which caused the little “hinge” to break as it is held plastic. It is an integral part of the lid, and you cannot buy a lid by itself. You have to purchase the entire seat which is over $100. I am going to try to repair mine with a piece of dowel and see if that works if this little quality issue was taken care of this would be a perfect bidet.
