ok...here we go....as all the people have said...the "T" connector WILL leak.....don't even try to work with it...it is not compatible with American fittings.....that being said....it was a pretty easy bypass...but took a trip to home depot for a new valve.......so....as you can see from my pic...I replaced my single valve that lead to the toilet with a double valve with a 1/4 in compression fitting...the brass compression ring WILL fit over the plastic tubing and work with the valve as long as it's a 1/4 in ......my replacement valve worked great....at first I tried to make the manufacture "T" valve work.....used a ton of teflon tape, or should I say...wasted a ton of teflon tape...lol....after my first failed attempt....I came up with a much better and easier solution....replace my valve......and BOOM....works great with no leaks!!!!......now...as for the unit its self......first impression is very good...the seat easily mounted to my toilet ...I bought it for my GF...so it will take a week or two to give an updated user review....but everything worked...seat was warm...water was instant warm....air dryer worked...I got the unit with the remote control and I'm glad I did...easily stuck it to the wall with the double sided tape that was already attached to the remote holder....it has magnets in it so it hold to the bracket pretty good....holding the remote seemed to be the way to go verses the side mounted control....I tested every function and it performed as it should..the night light isn't as bright as you might think...but it looks pretty cool...dark purple color....my GF was thrilled to finally have a Bidet....and I told her if it performs well over time that I would buy one for myself.....I'll update in a few weeks about that....as far as star rating...I gave it 4 stars because of the "T" connector issue....but I read all the reviews and knew what I was going to have to deal with when I bought it.....if you have any plumbing skills it will be an easy fix to do what I did.....and I recommend that you do it!!! don't mess around with the factory "T" fitting...it won't work.......but so far I'm very pleased with my purchase and even more so is my GF!! I hope my review helps with your decision to purchase this unit....have a great day.........UPDATE 11/25 I ordered one for myself..my girlfriend loves hers so after a year I finally broke down and got my own....the exact same one....here is how that went.....delivery was great as Amazon always is....got the new unit....already knew I would have to replace my water inlet valve....so I did that....easily mounted the seat and turned on the power and water...it "self checked" and all seemed well...but no water would come out...after clearing the line of any possible air...reset the unit by unplugging it and plugging it back in.....still no water.....referred to other people's comments about the same problem...the water heating light kept flashing but no water.......even followed the instructions on the lid...nothing.....some people said it can take a while to start flowing...so I gave it some time....3 days of time..with multiple resetting along the way.....still nothing......so I contacted the owners.....they are a chinese company and i figured it might take a while to hear back....nope..they responded pretty quickly.....they appologized and explained to me that with the research they have put into the complaint problems that seemed to be happening...they concluded that the water they use to test the units is a bit on the hard side and the calcium deposits can kinda stick a water inlet closed during shipping and storing of their units for sale in america......made sense when I thought about it........I did as they explained to me to do to fix the problem......and after giving the water inlet valve on the side of the unit a bit of twisting and flexing around a bit....I re-connected the water line and plugged it in....the water light was still flashing...but I gave it about 30 minutes and came back to see it solid green.....I was thrilled!!! I didn't even have to use the bathroom at the moment but I dropped my drawers and gave it a test run.........WOW!!! the seat was warm and the water came out strong and instantly heated.......oh boy!!!! I WAS A HAPPY CAMPER!!! I contacted the seller and informed them that the unit was working properly and that I was VERY HAPPY!!! the purple night light is surprisingly pretty bright....the remote easily stuck with the already attached tape above my toilet paper roll on the wall and it works great ......I will further update if anything happens to either unit.....hope this review helped you with your decision.....for 200 bucks....it was worth it !!!!....UPDATE AS OF 6/22/2024.....still working great and no problems!!! .....I am very happy!!! working like a charm Read Less
