What took us so long?
We purchased and have been using our bidet for at least a year. We both really like it and have often wondered why we waited so long to get one. We purchased and have been using our bidet for at least a year. We both really like it and have often wondered why we waited so long to get one. Americans are not used to this type of bathroom fixer, so I guess we thought it was a weird to have water spray onto...well...you know where. We were wrong. We have the heated water version and actually prefer the refreshing cooler end of the temperature range. It does a thorough job of cleaning and is really nice if one is experiencing gastronomic distress. After repeated wiping with even the softest toilet tissue on the market can leave one feeling very raw. The bidet really minimizes that uncomfortable experience. It was easy to install. The only thing I would have like to have been included with the kit would have been a small flange to cover the hole we had to drill through the side of our cabinet to get access to the hot water line. I bought two flanges at a local hardware store and it cleaned up that penetration nicely. That last thing is if you choose to get a quiet close toilet seat, you'll need to do a research on the best fit. The seat needs to predominately sit at or just below the rim of the toilet in order for the bidet connection to fit correctly on the rim. If it's too high, it causes the bidet or seat to bind and I suppose it could eventually damage it or even break it at the hinge. Over all, we love it!

The bidet came with all the necessary parts. You start with removing your existing toilet seat. I was able to do this easily by loosening the plastic nuts on the underside of the toilet. The bidet sits in-between the toilet and your seat. Make sure you rotate the plastic rings on the bidet to align the seat correctly. It even came with a metal adapter to connect to the toilet. The original one was plastic so this was a nice surprise. I had to turn off the water to the toilet and drain the tank before removing the water line. Once the water line was removed, it was pretty easy to screw the metal adapter to the tank. The cold water line was reconnected to the toilet and the bidet. I had to drill a hole in our vanity to run the hot water line. I wish the hot water line was also braided so that it would be more durable. The bidet has a very strong stream but it is nice to be able to control it by slowly lifting the handle.
